    Been going to Kinross for a lot of years and slowly seen it decline. It’s still an ideal location for touring the surrounding area which is lovely to visit. You just have to find the right accommodation.

    This is a very attractive small town beside the beautiful Loch Leven and close to many lovely local areas. It has a range of basic amenities and a couple of good places to eat. It is easy to reach from Edinburgh

    As always the people are very pleasant, the wee coffee shops which are all lovely, nice varied menus and homemade cakes! The butcher shop is a must the choices in this shop are amazing! Lots of nice wee independent shops too selling an array of something different!

    There is not much to do in Kinross.

    There is not much to do in Kinross. We went to the lake and wanted to visit the castle but it was closed due to a private event. Some shops are closed or are closing in the town. The small jetty looks abandoned and run down. It might have been nice to walk or cycle around the loch. However, for us 1 day was sufficient time. We really liked the small cafe Reminisce. Lovely team.

    Well situated for overnight stay en route to Edinburgh. Lovely big room with plenty wardrobe space. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food was delicious and promptly served. Excellent choices for breakfast just what was needed hot selection cold selection pastries and cereals. J would highly recommend this hotel. Never had a chance to go in to Main Street but will visit again

    It's a small town but it has everything.

    It's a small town but it has everything. Loch Leven is a gem and the surrounding countryside very beautiful. The drives to Perth and Scone Palace as well as to Stirling are gorgeous. It's within half and hour of Edinborough and 45 minutes of Glasgow. We ate at our hotel, the Kirklands which has a great restaurant so can't say anything about the other places.

    We were in Kinross for a funeral and the hotel was very conveniently located across the road from the church so was ideal. In house bar and dining available as well. This hotel has a lot going for it and you can see the owners are trying to add their stamp on it and do it up. The main thing is that it is clean and you couldn’t want for a kinder owner/manager looking after you. She even organised bacon rolls and coffee for us for an early morning start.

    Superfriendly and helpful staff in hotel and bar meals. Brilliant event space for a gig. Walking distance of centre of Kinross and the excellent Unorthodox Roasters. Great that they had 2 charging points for electric cars. Huge room.
