What a great little find this is! Location is perfect, just a short walk from the town centre and easily accessible from the A30, and with free parking to boot! I met Ziggy on arrival and he was friendly and charming, showing me all the facilities available in the suite (and it is more of a suite than a room!) and explaining how everything worked. He even recommended the best pub in town for a quiet pint and he certainly wasn't wrong - The Bell on Temple St is well worth a visit... The bed was super-comfy, the ensuite is recently installed (and includes a large luxurious shower that is hard to drag yourself out of!), the kitchenette is perfect for preparing your own breakfast (crumpets, croissants, cereals all provided) and the fold-down dining table is perfect. I had a great stay and will definitely be back when I'm next in Launceston to visit my Dad. Thanks Ziggy and Emma and good luck with the renovation of the old cells...

This is an ultimate getaway from it all, so secluded and peaceful. A beautiful location. The cabin is well equipped, and I wanted for nothing. Loved everything about it, to the extent I've already booked to go back in a few weeks' time! Krystyna was a brilliant host, very welcoming, with a cream tea being a lovely unexpected bonus. AND how could I forget the fish food for the carp in the lake!!

The property was situated in a lovely, peaceful spot. Alpacas, ponies, sheep, even a couple of piggies 😊 We had a lovely stay, comfy bed, en-suite shower and loo. Kitchen area, fridge, microwave etc. Lovely underfloor heating too😊 We d stay again, definitely

This is a beautiful, peaceful haven found down small country lanes on the edge of the Bodmin moor. There was a nice well equipped kitchen, a super comfy bed, great wifi, and copious birdsong and glimpses of wildlife. You have the place to yourself, and can walk round the lit up garden and bubbling brook in the evening or on the moors during the day. So lovely!

    Having been to Devon & Cornwall quite a lot over the years we were looking to stay somewhere that was central so we could be in easily reach of all the amazing destinations Devon & Cornwall has to offer. If like us, you are planning to be travelling on your stay to Devon & Cornwall, West Moor View is in the perfect location for that. We can highly recommend this lovely property and the host's of the property, who made our stay a very pleasant experience.

    The people of Launceston are champions for their helpfulness...

    The people of Launceston are champions for their helpfulness and friendly advice, information and general banter. The small independent shops which are treasure troves of exploration. The black cat book shop is great to dip into with the legacy of destiny crystal shop only next door. Two vinyl record shops a small museum and the 16th century St Mary Magdalene carved stone church. Also the castle ruins with amazing scenic views not to be missed, These are just a few gems to be experienced in this special place. There is so much more.

    Castle town that has seen better days.

    Castle town that has seen better days. Very clean.hotel at side of castle walk through grounds into town. Town nothing special plenty of takeaways. I personally wouldn't stay there again, where I would go to lostwithiel again.

    The whole week was fantastic, the host James made us feel very welcomed, the apartment was spotless and the hosts provided a hamper for us which was a nice gesture it contained everything you would need to see you through the first day

    We think Launceston was closed for the winter.

    We think Launceston was closed for the winter. Small town but very little was open in the town itself. We were not there as tourists so did not really matter. Maybe a lot better in the Spring/ Summer. Or as a base.

    Great place to stay.

    Great place to stay. Room was great with modern bathroom that had bath and shower. Beds very comfortable. Room was larger than most hotel rooms. Staff were lovely - very accommodating. Breakfast good too. Will definitely stay again.

    Very nice freshly cooked breakfast with choices. Excellent location with lovely countryside environment to explore Cornwall in all directions, proximity of A30 and easy access to many tourist attractions. Good pub restaurants within driving distance, in particular Eliot Arms, The Springer Spaniel and Rising Sun Inn. Very nice and welcoming hosts, Barbara and her Husband.

    A great place to stay. Ideally located for driving out to all that is on offer around the Devon and Cornwall area. Everything in the well equipped property is as new and spotless clean. Breakfast or an evening glass of wine on the deck is a real treat. Great views and wonderfully quiet.
