We did not see much of Llanarth itself but apparently there is not much anyway. It is a good base to travel from and close to the very pretty town of Cardigan with its many independent shops and Castle; close also to Aberaeron with a lovely harbour. The Harbour master Hotel there has superb food and there are plenty more eating places to choose from. Llanarth is not far from Newquay where parking can be a challenge but there is an opportunity to catch site of the Cardigan Bay dolphins.

There are a lot of narrow roads and a great deal of farm traffic. But the area is so scenic that the difficulties encountered in the lanes are worth the minor inconvenience of stop/start or occasional reversing to let traffic past.

Llanarth village is located in a great spot, with easy access to all the coastal villages such as New Quay and Llangranog, and the coastal footpath. The village is served by the local bus service, which is recommended if using the coastal footpath so that you might leave your car at one point and take a bus to the starting point of your walk. The coastal scenery is stunning, and boat trips depart from New Quay throughout the day for dolphin and seal-watching.

Very close to New Quay where the beach is amazing. All day parking for £3. Boat and fishing trips, able to hire water sports equipment. Sea very calm and safe for kids. Beach clean and not overcrowded. Lovely place.

The room was spotless, spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Room 17 overlooks the garden and was bright airy and cool in this extremely hot weather. A fan was also provided for extra comfort but we did not need to use it. The bathroom (electric shower over bath) is spacious and bright and well stocked with shower gels etc. Bed linen, pillows and towels excellent quality. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The food is delicious, excellent breakfast included in room rate. Afternoon snacks, lunch and dinner menus have great variety and are well presented. Food prices to suit every budget. The garden is beautiful - ideal for couples and families, with a play area for children. Bowls of water provided for dogs too. My only regret was that we had booked a 2 night stay - I wish we could have stayed longer. Lots to see and do in the surrounding areas - we would definitely book here again for a longer stay.
