Pretty place and of course there is the Forest however the town is continually blocked with traffic and there is a sort of race track around the centre, cars whizzing around the town on a one way system

Nick and Alison were really helpful.

Nick and Alison were really helpful. There were clear details on possible places to visit or eat. The room was clean, comfortable and everything worked. Breakfasts served on time, with lots of choice and was of good quality (sausages lovely!). Parking convenient. We were in the ‘Sheep’ room. There were other rooms eg Horse and Pig. Everything was well thought out to accommodate guest comfort.

Lyndhurst is mainly a one high street town. The traffic is continuous making it difficult to navigate on foot. I wouldn't recommend it as a destination. But The New Forest is spectacular however car drivers need to obey the rules of the Forest when parking and only use the many car parks.

Lyndhurst was a pretty town but the traffic was very busy so didn’t stop but it looked a vibrant little town and will explore again one day . We enjoyed the forest and seeing the ponies and donkeys who are in no doubt who’s in charge of the roads but it was wonderful to see . Plenty of places to stop and walk in the forest with some wonderful pubs to dine inn .

Never got a chance to see the town of Lyndhurst and surrounding area We drove down from Warwickshire and it was just a stopgap and unpleasant rest place where we stayed, before we caught the ferry from Lymington to the isle of Wight. So sorry I cannot comment on the surrounding area.

I was given a smaller double room that suited my needs. The room had easy access to the hotel car park, and it was quiet. I was in the Lyndhurst area to explore the New Forest by foot as a volunteer Ramblers walks leader. The visit was to view interesting sights and recce' a walk (Lyndhurst-Brockenhurst loop) that will be walked in September'24. All were accomplished successfully. The food and service was excellent. The manager and staff were very helpful.

Location was fabulous, close to lovely forest walks. New forest ponies visited the hotel frontage twice while we were there, which was brilliant. Staff friendly, lounge and bar area nice. Great to have EV charger on site. Close to station so visit by rail would be possible, close to Lyndhurst by car which has plenty of places to eat/coffee shops etc
