    Perfect fo visiting our family in Thatcham for early Xmas.

    Perfect fo visiting our family in Thatcham for early Xmas. Easy to find the hotel, lots of parking, very quiet bedrooms and lovely ambience in the Berkshire Arms itself for dining. Shopping in Newbury was excellent. Will visit Blenheim and the Rainforest when we next visit in the summer.

    The Berkshire Arms was a very pleasant experience It was very comfortable from start to finish the food excellent our room large and very comfortable and the price very fair nice staff breakfast very tasty this choice for our New Year celebration was first class

    We should have been asked if either of us would have...

    We should have been asked if either of us would have difficulty in climbing stairs and walking long distances to our room. We should have been told that the fixed radiator did not work and that the second, portable type, was in the room for that reason. The window in the room needed to be draught proofed. We were there on a very cold night.

    Enjoyed being able to find the inn with no problem. Was close enough to my family and amenities to make the stay comfortable and hassle free. The meal in the morning was good and the staff caring and helpful,

    Well situated for cycling along the Kennet and Avon Canal.

    Well situated for cycling along the Kennet and Avon Canal. Good rail links both west and east. Attractive countryside away from the A4, e.g. back roads to Hungerford which we cycled. Newbury Centre very pretty. Best approached by bike rather than taking car into the town.

    Simon and Terri were great hosts during our stay, beautiful garden to relax in during stay, Simon also very helpful with getting around the area, nothing was too much trouble. Our breakfast was delicious before we left Midgham.
