Interior was overall nice! Loved dining in the fireplace lounge, fresh flowers on the table, so many nice details. Nice and comfy rooms. So much atmosphere! Good food, good drinks, excellent scones! Staff was kind and amazing!

    The place is nice, quiet and has everything needed for a stay. With the short driving distance there are a lot of places to go: starting from sandy beach, puffin watching spot and finishing with museums and even distillery tours. Hosts are very welcoming and go above and beyond for any of your needs.

    Mintlaw is a small Town with a few pubs and a Garden Centre. Aden Country Park if good for a walk or Nature Ramble. It is a good base for exploring the North East Corner of Scotland and links to the Formartine Way for Ramblers and Cyclists

    This excellent hotel was ideally located for a work trip, but we would also recommend it for a more relaxed stay, as the staff are friendly, considerate and efficient. The room was well organised with plenty of space, with a well appointed bathroom and comfy bed. The dining room had a lovely atmosphere for both dinner and breakfast. We loved the local food on offer. The hotel seems to attract a mix of business and leisure clientel, which made for a consistency good atmosphere. Good wifi connection.

    From the warm welcome to the final departure it was an excellent experience. Very well appointed airy room with comfortable bed, desk and good shower. The breakfast was first class and worthy of a 5 star hotel. Finally the wi-fi was fast and stable.

    The Location was lovely, the staff couldn’t do enough for you. Very welcoming atmosphere and there was a starter pack for breakfast in the Lodge as well as an option to have breakfast in the hotel. Evening meals could be booked as well.

    Comfortable hotel well located to explore the area which we had not visited before. Fascinating history of the Pitfour Estate. Staff friendly and helpful. Delicious food and all at an very good price. Would highly recommend.
