Being back in Newtownards, my home town was especially great, but the stay in the Strangford was exceptional, staff service and food was excellent, and the room was extremely clean and the service staff were very helpful. Newtownards, while not obviously a beautiful town, has interesting and historic elements. Its position near Belfast, lovely Strangford Lough and magnificent National Trust property Mountstewart is a bonus. We enjoyed drinks and food in the Parlour (formerly known as the Old Cross).
