    The location was good to get around.

    The location was good to get around. The village was walking distance to 5he village cafe and shop..the food and bread pudding and the croissant bread and butter pudding lovely 😍 The fountain inn for evening meals was also exceptional the food was excellent also the service and pricing.

    Lovely village and plenty of woodland walks but not suitable for people with dissabilities. Too stoney and bumpy on pathways and dropped kerbs around the village were still to high for my mobility schooter.

    I liked the cleanliness and the appearance of the property. Our host Jo was very friendly and helpful. Check-in/ out experience was very simple. The room was very clean, the en-suite very well supplied with toiletries. Tea and coffee tray a nice thought. A good nights sleep in a very comfortable bed. Quiet surroundings. Local pub for eating out. Bike hire and plenty of trails to explore.

    Forest on your doorstep, Beechenhurst and Mallards Pike only 5min drive - great for children, Beechenhurst has a lovely play area and both have good cafes. RSPB Nagshead 20min walk. Clearwell Caves close by.

    two good pubs close by,one of which we had a very nice meal, and it was only two doors away from where we stayed, so not car needed. The area was very nice. Everything we needed was there, it was a good starting point for our activities. The Steam Train was a nice trip-not very long but full of history and the guard was very informative. Ross on Wye was not far, which was a nice visit.

    Sadly, The Fountain Inn is up for sale, so I cannot vouch for how it may be run under new management. I sincerely hope it will remain as great as it's been for many years. Parkend is a handy area to visit many fine local places. Nowhere more than a half hour drive.

    A super-comfortable and very clean cottage. Wonderful location - walking and cycling into the forest (6 km to Cannop Cycle Centre on the easy cycle paths). Close to Parkend for shop/post office/cafe - you can even walk or cycle down the disused railway. Having 2 separate ‘bedroom suites’ is ideal. Well equipped and very well thought out. The garden area is lovely to sit out in. Parking for 1 car at the front - and room for 2 more at the back. Excellent WiFi (no mobile signal in the cottage). We will definitely be back.

    The location was excellent, right in the heart of Parkend. I booked a room at Edale house for my elderly parents - we had originally booked a cottage for me, my wife and my parents, but as my parents are elderly they found the stairs very difficult. Edale house provided a ground floor room and were extremely accommodating at very short notice, and my parents loved their stay.

    A well equipped cottage in the centre of Parkend. Two pubs, village shop and bike hire all within a two minute walk. Nagshead Nature Reserve also within walking distance.
