The room was gorgeous. Huge big bed that was so comfy The bathroom was bright & fresh with lovely toiletries A good size TV with plenty of channels Tea/coffee selection was very good quality with complimentary biccies too! I dined in the onside restaurant & bar Superb food! Beautifully presented & so good! I'm vegan so it's difficult to eat well when travelling. The food exceeded my expectations Staff were very friendly & helpful Overall a 5 star stay Thank you Despite the area of Barrow not being too great, there isn't anything to do, the location is still perfect to visit the lakes. I went to Kendal & Bowness all in the same day from Barrow I would definitely stay again when I'm next in Cumbria It was easy to find and a bonus of free parking opposite the hotel

Beautiful old house once a private home, then a hotel, now a B&B. Has every comfort you could want. The host was very friendly & looked after us very well. Self-serve continental breakfast was excellent, gr8 location.

The greyhound inn was an amazing place to stay! We loved every second of our stay and was honestly sad our stay ended. The room was absolutely immaculate and the beds were so comfortable. We had everything we needed provided such as clean bedding with blankets, toiletries with fresh towels, tea coffee and sugar with a kettle, WIFI and TV. The staff was absolutely amazing and such lovely down to earth people and i honestly can’t thank them enough for the attention to detail and done everything and more to make our stay an absolute pleasure. The greyhound is a beautiful pub in the heart of the countryside within the Lake District. The prices were more than reasonable and there it was so lovely to have a meal and drinks of an evening and had a real sense of comfort. We would 100% be booking to come back and stay again. I would lastly like to say a special thank you to Lisa for making our stay so perfect. Our time at the greyhound was so perfect and we can not wait to come back again. Thank you all so much.

    Pennington it self was a great choice of area to stay in we have a good friend in ulverston and spent a great deal of time with her and saw lots of places around the area and most places were easy to go to and explore and we got to know the area quite well
