We went to the Lady Lever Art gallery, which is well worth a visit. Had tea in the tea rooms opposite Port Sunlight train station, as the tea rooms at lady lever was temporarily closed. This was a return trip to an area that I had lived in for 39 years. I am glad to say that very little has changed in the overall view of the Village, however, I was not there for the Village but to visit the graves of family members in and around the Wirral and the Village was simply a Central Hub for my plans. Lovely little town, which is worth exploring, Hulme Hall has special significance for Beatle Fans as it is the first place the Beatles played a few days after Ringo replaced Pete Best. The station is located at Port Sunlight, so the Wirral line gives easy access to Liverpool and Chester. The Bridge Inn is a typical older pub, and accommodation is basic but acceptable. There were many kitchen consumables provided although we didn't use them. The outside courtyard area was a plus, and it was useful to have a car parking space outside. We didn't use the car at all during our break. The metro train was great for getting to Liverpool. This takes 20 minutes.
