As Reigate old town and high street can get full of traffic, we recommend travelling into reigate by bus - or even walking from the Reigate Manor Hotel down hill - about 20 minutes. The town itself has some interesting buildings and is full of olde worlde charm. THere is a castle and some pleasant parks as well as good shops and Pubs or restaurants. Lovely place for people who enjoy hiking&nature. Reigate Hill and Gatton park are amazing for a long, relaxing walk and the view is amazing. Nothing any good at the hotel but the town was very pleasant. Room carpet was filthy. There was no bin to put waste in and we asked for one but nothing ever came. Window was filthy and had not been cleaned for months. We understand the hotel had just been taken over. We were told there was no chef when we arrived at the restaurant but the had a short menu who cooked it we do not know but it was very poor. We had Eggs and supposedly hand carved ham and something else which I cannot remember. It was cold and we left most of it. There was no breakfast in the morning and we could not get out of their fast enough the following morning. We had paid by voucher which was dearer thane originally booked and then they presented us with an invoice for £80 odd. You asked about having a television there was one but only BBC 1 and 2 worked. I wrote a review of another hotel I stayed in the week before in Wigan and that was bad and you said you would not publish it. If you do not publish this one I am likely to take further action.
