Ricky is really a village which has become a commuter suburb, set close to the Grand Union canal and an 'aquadrome' of several lakes and walking paths. It's quite a long way out of central London - at least 30 minutes by train - which can be expensive, but it's a great place to stay. There are numerous cafes, pubs and restaurants in the village. I know Ricky pretty well, but can imagine tourists visiting London finding it a pleasant place to stay, There are not many places to stay, but recently Premier Inns opened a hotel beside the Batchworth Lock on the canal, and there are apartments for short-term stays.Guest review byAndrewAustralia - 6.0

If you want to visit London for a few days you can stay here in Rickmansworth - leave your car safely in the drive and take public transport into London (or out to Amersham).
