We expected it to be nice but when we arrived we were simply blown away by the lodge and the peaceful park it is based in. The lodge was spacious and clean and had everything a family needed for a relaxing break. The bedrooms were great and the shower and bath facility was also top class. The WiFi was as good as anywhere I've ever stayed and the park with private beach was truly spectacular. We couldn't recommend this place more if we tried and will be coming back every year as the owner was very helpful and friendly as well.

The lodge is beautiful and has everything you need.

The lodge is beautiful and has everything you need. The local shops are very far away so please take everything you need food and drink as you won’t want to drive as the road in and out isn’t great. The restaurant pub on site is not worth your visit, the food is very poor and it’s very dirty. The site is quiet and the shore is lovely but you cannot see it from the lodge and is a short walk down. I wouldn’t go back due to the location , it was too remote for us

Rowardennan is at the end of a road.

Rowardennan is at the end of a road. It has access to Ben Lomond for hill walkers and is part of the West Highland Way route. Apart from that there is nothing there except the hotel and water sports from what we could see!

    The location was stunning.

The location was stunning. The hostel was clean and well equipped. Plenty of parking and the staff were always really helpful. Would highly recommend staying at the hostel. Would definitely re visit. Perfect location for what we wanted as we it was our plan to climb Ben Lomond ~ once we climbed it, it was perfect as we got to cool down in the loch afterwards. The hostel has its own private beach area and a jetty to swim from

Loch Lomond shore is a few minutes walk from the cottage.

Loch Lomond shore is a few minutes walk from the cottage. The views from every room, including the two conservatories were amazing. Our dog sat in the conservatory watching Sheep TV for hours. So happy it was dog friendly. All of the amenities were modern and plentiful, especially the kitchen. So stylish. Lots of hand made and interesting pieces around the villa. Gorgeous.

Hotel situated in a fabulous location overlooking the Loch...

Hotel situated in a fabulous location overlooking the Loch Lomand. Secluded and quiet - good for hiking & nature walks. Good water sport facilities by an outside company. The stand up paddle boarding was never available on the 2 occasions we wanted to do it. Ideally it would have been good if the hotel gave a discount and made arrangements for reservation options at the time of check in. Menu was unfortunately limited, but some of the food was good.

It was very warm and welcoming at the end of a long day of hiking. The building and the location are both spectacular, and are worth a visit just for those. The hostel was fully functional with kitchen and Laundry. We stayed in the double room, which felt more like a hotel. Toilets and showers were clean and functional.

Lovely location, not much to do except walks and watersports but its peaceful. Handy having the hotel and shop nearby. The cabin itself is large and we were grateful to the electric heater as it was cool at times. Parking at the back of the cabin which was handy.

Beautiful location. Very peaceful and very comfy. The cabin had everything you needed and was really cosy after a day out walking the hills. The Rowardennan Hotel was open for food and drinks, which is only 1 minute away. Had a swim in the loch, too. Lovely trip.
