The staff were friendly and welcoming. We were shown to our room and given the breakfast details. The four poster bed room was impressive with two large windows, high ceilings and two small lounge chairs. There was lots of hanging space in the large wooden wardrobe and the dressing table was also very handy. This large room was a pleasant space for our stay. A full English breakfast was served in the dining room. The staff accommodated our dietary needs. There was a variety of fruits on offer . Also cereal, juices and yogurt. This is a quiet place on the outskirts of Whitehaven a lovely place to stay for a few days while exploring this part of Cumbria.

The staff were especially lovely, friendly and accommodating. As a female staying alone (for work) I felt fully safe and looked after by every staff member I came across, they couldn’t do enough for me. Had a gorgeous meal for dinner, breakfast was equally lovely. The view from my room was beautiful. The bed was very comfortable.

Great location for the Coast to Coast path. Very nice staff. They also serve meals and breakfast and have a bar where they have lots of drinks. Everything was great. Amazing location and garden. I would gladly come back even just for a quiet retreat.

The caravan was clean, cosy and spacious. The beds were comfortable. The water was nice and hot for showers. The area was nice and quiet. Definitely rested. Close to Cockermouth and Buttermere.

Just what it says on the tin - TRANQUIL. Ideal location with supermarkets within a 10 minute drive. Everything you need and more in a lovely apartment which is tastefully decorated, and with some local art taboot. Lots of lovely walks and places to eat within a short drive and a very lovely, attentive host! Perfect!

    Can’t speak highly enough of our stay at The Nest.

    Can’t speak highly enough of our stay at The Nest. Being outside the national park meant no traffic or parking headaches. St Bees was a lovely beach to visit. Muncaster Castle is also definitely worth visiting.
