EXCELLENT staff who were helpful and gave us sime info regarding the 'sights'. Beautifully clean room and comfy beds.. very relaxed atmo. Should have had a small fridge though for water,soft drinks,milk etc AND the shower needed a plunger job. Overall we had a sensational time and our room felt lie 'home' after being out dailly to see the sights. Thank you so much - we WILL be back!Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0

There are 2 quite long parallel main streets in Scarborough...leading down to the promenade and beach. It is quite a steep walk uphill at certain places at the bottom. There are both high street,/chain shops /banks (including a Poundland) and pubs (including a Wetherspoons at the top) as well as one-off shops too. Adjacent to the Grand Hotel is a tram (I don'tknow the cost).going down to the beach. There are amusement arcades on the sea front/promenade. North Bay far more quiet with lovely walks, perfect beach excellent eateries, Italian gardens were lovely with a Sunday afternoon concert, Sealife just around corner at North Bay… south Bay lovely museums x gardens plus the tram taking you up to the town, parts of town looked tired, on seafront lots of restaurants, amusements, boat trips, great walk around harbour… Fabulous ice cream shop called Flamingo😋there’s a shoreline bus hop on and off, if you don’t fancy the marine walk from north to south bay..Guest review bycarolineUnited Kingdom - 10.0

I love the beach, the facilities and the lovely people! I visit Scarborough every year (probably two to three times.) I use Scarborough as a base to visit nearby Whitby and Bridlington.. A lot of our enjoyment was weather dependent - beach, sea- open top buses £12 day pass for 5 of us ( one a 2 yr old). Grandson wanted to ride them all day - great way to travel from south to north bay and to visit Peasholme park. Attractive beach and backdrop - good to have beaches where dogs allowed but also where not allowed too. Attractive harbour where could get cheap short rides on 'pirate' boats out to sea. Have always loved coming to Scarborough to take part in the Goldwing Light parade, not a lot of time to visit the many attractions. Lovely to find new restaurants in the town, to get a lovely meal other than just fish and chips. Always found Scarborough a clean and friendly place to visit, plenty to see and do.Guest review byTony

Lawrence and his family have an excellent property 6 minutes drive from the beach, the hotel itself has a home from home vibe and is very clean and presentable. The breakfast was excellent and the room was comfortable and warm. Lawrence was very welcoming and it was a pleasure meeting him and his lovely family. Roll on 2025 when we can do it all again. I went to reception to tell about the shower and they never sent anyone to have a look.
