Sedgefield is a foodies place, pubs and restaurants all within a few yards of each other. It was good to have a different place to eat each evening. It is also very pretty with the little church and the bells

Great location and lovely grounds.

Great location and lovely grounds. Tired and dated hotel room, dirty and not what I expect especially when I’ve paid over £200 for the night. The reception team were rarely visible. Couldn’t get food on arrival as they serve afternoon tea to outside guests and the tables were reserved or taken. I had a ground floor room with a lake view and the wedding marquee was situated there, the music was loud as where the guests and they all seemed to have a lovely time and I’m glad however, the wedding went on until the early hours and the noise made it impossible for me to sleep.

Reception, Restaurant, Bar, Location & grounds of the Hardwick Hall Hotel are second to none, Outstanding. The food in the Restaurant was also exceptional. The room I stayed in was a little tired. The shower leaked onto the floor, not all the lights worked in the bathroom. The room was generally very warm, even with the window open fully & the fan on..

Sedgefield is a lovely little village with a busy High street, there's a choice if cafes and pubs all serving good choices of food and drinks. Also there's a few interesting little shops, Bettys Boudoir and Peridot. There's a beauty rooms a craft beer shop. Amongst other things. There's some good walking too.

I booked last minute and fancied somewhere quiet. Just wow. What a lovely location and building. Everything was spot on. The most relaxing place to have a beer by the lake and finish the days work on the laptop. I have stayed at a few manor type hotels and they are often dated and dishevelled but this was fantastic. I might even plan my next trip around staying here again.

When we need some RnR, Sedgefield is our go to place, and we always stay in the Dun Cow. It's a lovely place, the rooms are large, comfortable and very clean. The staff are very professional, efficient, and friendly. The food in the bar and restaurant is outstanding. There's a great choice of beer wines and spirits, and I would thoroughly recommend it

The cottage is very very comfortable and clean, ideal for our 3 night stay. Our hosts, the owners, were very kind and helpful and as it is a working farm we had the chance to see the cows including a newly born calf. The town of Sedgefield has excellent pubs, restaraunts etc. It was a real pleasure being there.

Fantastic breakfast, served promptly. Arrived home on Wednesday morning, Thursday lunch time we realised that we had left some clothes in the wardrobe. Rang hotel one of the staff (Daisy) found the clothes. My son lives in Sedgefield, so he will collect them for us.
