Windyridge is a beautiful big terrace house on Settle main street. The large rooms are all decorated with high quality furniture and fittings which really suit the ambience of the property. All the rooms are lovely with big bright windows throughout, open fires and comfortable chairs and settees. The kitchen had everything we needed and was pleasant to cook and eat in though there was a splendid dining room/ library too. The locally made grandfather clocks around the house really help to make the place feel special. There are three large double bedrooms and one twin room upstairs as well as a bathroom with toilet, free standing bath and shower. There is another toilet and walk in shower downstairs and the property also has a washing machine and tumble drier. The yard at the back of the house provides enough parking space for two large cars and across the little back lane is a nice raised garden area with a table and chairs. We loved Windyridge, it helped make our our enjoyable stay in Settle even more memorable and we hope to return.

Perfectly situated in the Yorkshire Dales, this cottage was clean, spacious, delightfully renovated with a large kitchen/dining room, cosy lounge, on the first floor and super large double room, room with bunk beds and large bathroom with a stand-alone bath. Up another flight of stairs you have a twin bedroom and another double, with another bathroom with a lovely large shower. The cottage was warm, showers powerful, all the equipment you might need in the kitchen. Just a few minutes walk from the centre of Settle that has plenty of choice for eating.. We had a slight issue (our fault entirely) but the owner was very responsive and able to sort things out very quickly. Highly recommend this property!!

    Settle is a lovely little town.

    Settle is a lovely little town. We were there in the rain, but could still enjoy what it has to offer. The musuem is free to visit and a good way to learn a little of the history. Nice Chinese take-away thats good value too. Scenery nearby is stunning- would definitely recommend taking the train to Carlisle, across the Ribblehead viaduct. (Road route of settle to hawes is beautiful too, even in a downpour) We would definitely like to return to the area. A weekend visit was too short!

    It is a lovely village in Yorkshire with a very cute gingerbread style station that has connections between Leeds and Lancaster for commuter trains. Lots of places to eat and have coffee. There was a lovely flower pot festival when we visited.

    Lovely, quiet village with plenty of cafes, restaurants and pubs. Delightful flowerpot characters all around the village with a trail that you can follow. Great location for the Yorkshire peaks and beautiful countryside.

    As soon as I arrived and looked around the house I thought...

    As soon as I arrived and looked around the house I thought this will do nicely and off I went to the cafe for coffee and cake. The lady in the old fashion sweet shop was very friendly and I bought sweets for my walk the following day. In the evening I ate at the pub on the main road. Settle is very easy to navigate and I love the friendly people and quaint buildings. My husband was a walks leader and he used to take me on many walks from Settle. There are so many footpaths easy and difficult and I think it is an excellent location for walking.

    Settle is a very small 'town' but there are ample locations...

    Settle is a very small 'town' but there are ample locations for lunch and evening meal or just a social pint.I used a two night stay as a base for the Settle to Carlisle railway.Nice little place for a quiet couple of days.

    It is a great central base, plenty of options for walking and cycling. Plus the town is i treating, quirky even with their (world’s) smallest art gallery, flower pot festival, nice range of small shops to browse, wonderful coffee at High St Coffee… Good bus and train options.

    Great value for money, superb, it's an old building so don't expect the ritz, all the facilities were spotless, (the towels were fantastic) the staff are amazing particularly Matty who never seems to stop, nothing is to much trouble and breakfast is great as are the evening meals and very reasonably priced, Settle is a lovely village with some great pubs and restaurants, would like to say it is so nice that dogs are genuinely welcome not just at the Royal Oak but everywhere, really enjoyed our stay....Thank you....

    The hotel was beautiful and luxurious with beautiful gardens and to chill outside on the terrace. Food was excellent but not alot of variety in Settle village for restaurants. By car we went Skipton village and castle was 15 mins nearby. Ingleton falls were 20 minutes away worth the visit.
