As soon as I arrived and looked around the house I thought...
As soon as I arrived and looked around the house I thought this will do nicely and off I went to the cafe for coffee and cake. The lady in the old fashion sweet shop was very friendly and I bought sweets for my walk the following day. In the evening I ate at the pub on the main road. Settle is very easy to navigate and I love the friendly people and quaint buildings. My husband was a walks leader and he used to take me on many walks from Settle. There are so many footpaths easy and difficult and I think it is an excellent location for walking.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0

It is a great central base, plenty of options for walking and cycling. Busy market town and typical Dales town. Filled with interesting buildings from centuries ago and lots of great cafe's and a bakery amongst some of the important services. Bus and Train services are readily available for both Giggleswick and Settle. Small supermarkets help provide for travellers and visitors to the area. Space for the two of us (two good friends) who had come to the area for the three peaks. Quiet neighbourhood and parking available too. The house was just a few strides away from a local footpath along the river into Settle and had a small back garden with views of the riverside and (when the leaves drop from the trees) the fells. Room just as described, bed was super comfy, and we had a great night's sleep. Food in the restaurant was delicious, as was breakfast. Useful extras included fresh milk in a fridge to use for teas coffees and bottles of water and juice available to help yourself to. We would definitely stay again, and I would recommend it.
