    The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. The food was wonderful. The room was larger than I thought it would be with an additional bed, no additional fee though :) There was everything I could have needed in the room - iron and ironing board, heater, fan, hair drier, tea, coffee and biscuits.

    Close M11 and Stansted.

    Close M11 and Stansted. A small village with some local shops. Good location to explore Essex and South Suffolk, lots of things to see nearby. The roads are narrow and there are lots of small villages with speed limits. A popular area for cyclists and bikers.

    The staff were very welcoming and pleasant.

    The staff were very welcoming and pleasant. The food was exceptional, would use them again but unfortunately no more events expected in their location. Only negative was the man who helped serve breakfast, he was not dressed appropriately - it looked like pyjamas but likely shorts & T-shirt

    The room was as expected and so there are no complaints, it was clean which is the most important thing and has everything you need for a quick stay over. Staff were friendly and polite. Bar and restaurant seemed lovely, I had a couple of wines in the bar and it was a nice relaxed atmosphere. Didn’t eat in the restaurant but again seems Iovely. Breakfast was included and had a full English which was great. Great little hotel.

    Nice, clean hotel. rooms a good size and plenty of tea/coffee, toiletries etc. Easy check-in at the pub next door. Quiet, no noise from the pub - this was my second visit and found the rooms quiet on both occasions. Will definitely be booking again as I travel to the area most weeks.

    Breakfast was excellent, the pub / hotel is located in a charming village with good parking outside the pub. The room was clean, comfortable but quite basic and the ensuite could do with a refurb. Ate in the pub and the food was very agreeable. Staff were all lovely.

    Restaurant was good quality food at current prices, large portions. Great service. Hotel and rooms ardd are fresh. Comfortable bed. Warm rooms. Will certainly stay Herron if in the area.
