    I know Stevenage of old and have been in the area many times over the years. Excellent facilities and very well sign-posted as to where you need to be. The night life is also very good. The Old Town is a wonder and worth a visit. I travel just over an hour to be in Stevenage and make the most of it.

    Nice town and huge retail parks.

    Nice town and huge retail parks. We were there to pick up a van and the car dealerships there are huuuuuge!!! Also parks and recreation grounds dotted around everywhere, so always somewhere to walk. Easy access to other towns in the surrounding area.

    Stevenage used to be much more vibrant.

    Stevenage used to be much more vibrant. I was shocked to see that all the shops and businesses in the town centre were closed by 6 pm on a weekday. Only happening place was Tesco in the Stevenage town centre. The shopping centre looked like was a deserted place (see photos). Next time, I will go to Cambridge.

    Staff at reception , Ruchitha plus F & B Staff, Laura were really helpful when I was really anxious about the food and water situation after 12 o’clock midnight, as I say food and water are a necessity not a luxury, small things that are easily rectified, Thank Adam M Hartfree, Director LTD Live the dream Ltd

    The size of the rooms are too small.

    The size of the rooms are too small. I requested for two single bed rooms of which only one room was made available. The corridor is dirty and smelling. There was complementary bottle water which was being said that we had to purchase. Never again would I book Ibis as it does not suit for purposes and far beyond expectations.

    Driving from Scotland to visit my sister in hospital so no other comments had a take-away from the Golden Siam restaurant very expensive and not true Thai cooking having lived in Thailand for 12 years I am more than qualified to judge. If we have to visit again I hope that it will not be at the hospital.

    The hotel car park was full when we arrived but parking (much cheaper) was available in the outside car park immediately opposite the hotel. Staff were friendly. It was a 15 minute walk to the station which was no issue.

    We booked this hotel as simply a place to stay overnight. The room as clean and OK, bed was reasonable, shower and loo both worked. OK, one lift seemed to be out of action, but no problem waiting a little longer.
