We liked -Trentham Gardens - the museum of authentic kilns in Longton -the living mining museum. The gold mine. - the wonderful hill walks in the nearby Peak District - the nearby towns of Leeks and Buxton -the friendliness of people - We often had tea or coffee in the local tea-rooms. I went to play in the Stoke Chess Congess August 2025, and the Town Hall was great and my nearby accommodation on Cornwallis road was good. Stoke has the feel of a poor working class town, but has it's own vibrancy. Had a great meal with friends at the Sangam next to the Spode Rose Garden. Church yard at St Peter ad Vincula, the Minster, is pleasant and interesting with Wedgewood and Spode memorials plus an amusing standing stone under the Holly tree.Guest review byVannUnited Kingdom - 10.0

It is walking distance from the train station and right next to the beautiful Hanley park. The house is overall quite cosy and the kitchen had all the things needed to make meals, if you wanted to.
