    A small out of the way town. 1 full day is more than enough...

    A small out of the way town. 1 full day is more than enough to go all the way to places like Reef. There are beautiful beaches. Let you feel you are going to the world's end. The Standing Stones at Calanise is good to spend say 10 mins. All in all, it is a driving tour sightseeing in the car round loop for 5 to 6 hours.

    Stornoway is a busy wee town full of independent shops.

    Stornoway is a busy wee town full of independent shops. I particularly like An Taigh Ceilidh where you are encouraged to practise your Gàidhlig. Only downside there are a few one-way streets which are confusing / frustrating if you don't know where you're going.

    There’s not much to see and do in Stornoway but it is an excellent base for exploring Lewis and Harris. It was easy to reach the main tourist spots of Ness, Callanish, Carloway and Gearrannan Blackhouse Village. Also not far to experience the stunning scenery of Harris including the famous Luskentyre Beach. In Stornoway itself, the walk to the Iolaire Monument and the visit to the Lewis Castle Museum were both worth doing. The best place for lunch was Lantair.

    Stornoway is an interesting little town with Lews castle and grounds well worth a visit. It is a very good starting point to explore some of the island-places to visit include Callanish standing stones,the Black House,the Black House village and the broch,all of which are on the one road that leads directly out of Stornoway. There is also Harris to visit and famous and stunning beaches,but we ran out of time !

    Stornoway is a compact town, with good local pubs and restaurants. Lews Castle and its grounds and museum is well worth a visit. I also went to a folk music concert at the An Lanntair theatre which was excellent (I also enjoyed a pre- show meal there in its Thai Cafe). The whole island of Lewis & Harris is stunning and magical.

    Stunning part of the world.

    Stunning part of the world. So much more to see than we had time for, a week would have been amazing! Beckett's do a fab breakfast, not many other places open before 9am. Some fab wee gift shops, especially enjoyed the Art Gallery, The Christian Bookshop, The Baltic Bookshop, Hebridean Tweed and Delights.

    Lovely rooms and en suite. Very clean and welcoming. Bed and bed linen a very high standard. Great attention to detail with Harris tweed side lights and cushions. Staff so warm and friendly at breakfast and poached eggs cooked to perfection. We had an excellent stay and would recommend Stornoway B&b 👌

    A clean modern apartment with everything required for your stay. Marcin was an exceptionally friendly host. Parking right next to the apartment. In a semi rural environment but close enough to Stornoway to opt in for a takeaway. Very comfortable bed.

    The location was excellent for us as we could walk into Stornoway and easily drive to the places we wanted in visit in North Lewis. The apartment was a lovely place for us to relax for a couple of days part way through a road trip.

    Warm and enthusiastic welcome from Reception at this well-established Stornoway Hotel. It enjoys a good central position very close to the town centre and has the bonus of two good, if rather expensive restaurants on site.
