The location and sea view is excellent, quiet, and the rooms very comfy. We had an upgraded room with balcony which had sea view. Lovely garden and lift to all floors. The lounge area with bar was relaxing. Breakfast was more than adequate from buffet to pre-select menu items. We skipped lunch but the dinner menu was limited but adequate. To\he hotel is situated on a low level cliff with a safe stairway to the beach. Being elderly we chose a short drive to the beach. The staff were very helpful and friendly, we enjoyed our stay enormously.

The building was amazing. And don't forget to ask at the front desk about the history book about the place, it has a scavenger hunt in it, and a prize if you find everything!

I have always loved Swanage its a quintessential seaside town full of activity , I attend a Blues festival annually which is great. Pubs are friendly and plentiful and the fish & chips are outstanding. I would highly recommend a visit to Swanage, I love it and would live there if it suited my families lifestyle.

What a gem of a seaside town.

What a gem of a seaside town. The breathtaking scenery of the Jurassic coast with Corfe Castle looming in the near distance... Great pubs and places to eat; fresh pastries and decent coffee. The steam railway, South West Coast Path - and the rose gold sands in front of jaunty beach huts combine to create an atmosphere lost by so many larger, once grander resorts. Some steep hills make the town potentially challenging for wheelchairs. Visiting in autumn when the town had a buzz was fun - unsure about high season visitor volumes and how the small town manages?

    I really liked Swanage.

I really liked Swanage. There is wonderful walking on the Coastal Path and across the fields, on walks that are accessible by public bus. The Swanage Railway outing to Corfe Castle and the Mining Museum is a very good day out. The town itself has everything that a visitor needs in terms of supermarkets and restaurants and pubs. There is an excellent fish and chips place (The Fish Plaice) right on the square by the quay. Try the Cornish Bakery, too.

Lovely seaside town with extraordinary beach and vista; we also like the shops, Steam Railway and the layout of the town. Lovely Cafe for Lunch where we waited to board the Waverly Paddle Steamer. A trip of the Swanage Steam Railway. A superb visit.

The flat is fanatic, comfortable, welcoming, so well appointed. Area was quiet during the day and at night. Large windows let in plenty of light all through. Bed was comfortable and shower had good pressure. Kitchen was well equipped, even a pint of milk waiting in the fridge. The washer dryer was really helpful after a day on the beech. Dedicated parking space. Less than 5 minutes from the beach and 10 minutes into town. Couldn’t have asked for more. If ever in Swanage again this is the place we’ll stay.

Amazing location, perched high above the beach with a panoramic views over stunning Swanage Bay. The staff were very friendly. Rooms were clean and comfortable. My mother had a wonderful massage at the spa. A 10-15 minute stroll into town . I will definitely return to this hotel as it is good value. Loads to see and do nearby Durlestone, Corfe Castle ( wear good walking shoes) and even an evening at the tiny Rex Cinema in Wareham

The Pines hotel is in a beautiful location with direct access to the beach. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Our room was clean and well equipped and the beds were very comfortable. The breakfasts were delicious and had an extensive choice of hot and cold dishes. We had two evening meals in the restaurant and both were superbly cooked. We look forward to our next stay at The Pines.
