Review for ‘The Nest’ We visited this cosy get away recently and enjoyed a very quiet and chilled weekend together. The ‘nest’ was spotlessly clean and contained everything needed to feel at home, all furnished to a very high standard. The host was very friendly and provided lots of information on the local area. Nothing was too much trouble. You can see that a lot of time and thought has been put into making this a great place to stay.

Stunning property and location with beautiful grounds. Our room was spotlessly clean with a view of the swimming pool. The staff were just exceptional, friendly knowledgeable about the history of the building. Their attention to detail when it came to allergies was amazing. This is the second time that I'm staying in this haven...my sister and my husband were with me..nothing was too much trouble...Jackie is an absolute treat and was lovely enough to put me and my sis and husband in adjoining rooms side by side .the breakfast is delicious with local organic jams ..def choose the eggs Benedict soooo good!..beds are super comfy ..and it's close to the station a d the forest ..fantastic!!!

bashley sway area was a lovely location. highcliff castle a few miles away is worthb a visit. barton on sea a glorious area on the seafront. ideal for dog walking. lymington was close to sway and we had two meals in wetherspoon. great value . its close to the church in the high street. plenty of parking behind marks and spencer for great shopping without horrendous parking fees. disabled parking is free.

A quiet small village with friendly people.

A quiet small village with friendly people. Good to use as a base. Easy drive to the forest, Brockenhurst, Burly, Lyndhurst and Milford On Sea etc. Great breakfast at the Sway Deli. There's two pubs to choose from and there's the lovely Manor Hotel if you fancy a posh meal.

The location of Sway is very convenient for exploring the...

The location of Sway is very convenient for exploring the New Forest and the coast. Historic places - Beaulieu and Bucklers Hard - Keyhaven for walking by the Salt Marshes and Hurst Spit with its lovely beach are easily reached. The very regular train service from Sway to Brockenhurst and on to Lymington provides a nice alternative to driving and finding parking in a very popular tourist centre.

Most liked visiting surrounding villages in particular Burley witch village. Good place to see ponies and nice souvenir shops and ice cream stall. We also liked walking in the woods. There is free parking at the top of Burley then a short down hill walking the very pleasant village.

Excellent food.

Excellent food. Friendly staff welcoming and attentive to our needs . Enjoyed visiting the coast to Barton on sea.Lymington and Keyhaven for a ferry trip to Hurst castle. Enjoyed coffee and lunch at The Cliff Hotel at Barton on sea Easy reach to other places in the New Forest and see the ponies roaming along the roadside

sway is lovely place to stay only if you have a car, because...

sway is lovely place to stay only if you have a car, because the roads have no side walk and are very narrow. walking pathways are not clearly marked or overgrown. caravan sites are really lovely and easy access about if you have a car or able to use the taxis. But if your not use to walking long walks sways not the place for you.

The property was charming in the way that we were expecting. It is hidden away in a quiet location in Sway which makes for a relaxing, peaceful break. Overlooking the fields, you could sometimes hear and see the horses nearby. We liked that there was a tennis court that we could access directly from our garden if we wanted to, by walking through the gate at the end of our property. However it was secluded from where we were staying, we didn't feel overlooked, we had the privacy of our space. I will definitely book this again.

Lovely little 3 bedroom house with garden in Sway. Clean and modern inside. Walkable to a playground, small co-op and a pub next door (we didn’t use the pub but it looked lovely). We hired bikes nearby and went cycling with the kids on easy tracks in the New Forest. Parking is on the street outside or opposite near shops which was fine. Fabulous stay.

Really great accommodation, spotlessly clean, very comfortable bed, good sized bathroom, excellent breakfast, very hospitable hosts. Tea and cake on arrival. Ten minutes from Lymington, 20 minutes from Beaulieu, New Forest on your doorstep. Great view of Sway Tower! What more could ask for?

Beautiful, quirky cottage in the heart of Sway. A 10 minute walk to the station and surrounded by beautiful wildlife and countryside. Easy to collect keys and parking right outside the door. Host, Louise, was at hand if anything was needed and was courteous and attentive throughout.
