I most enjoyed the friendly, but not pushy staff and the relaxed informal atmosphere. I was in the area to attend a funeral about half an hours drive away and associated family get together so I did not get to spend much time in the immediate area. If you like the English countryside and an English pub atmosphere I would recommend it as a place to stay. The beer was good too!Guest review byRodUnited Kingdom - 6.0

The online blurb was a little over-inflated. To be allocated a disabled access room when staff members are using the other rooms shows that if the hospitality industry is suffering due to the pandemic, The White Horse isn't doing a lot to get it back on track. Also, if you suggest a menu is available, it really should be. It's too late to find out that it's been reduced, whatever the reason, once you've arrived and checked-in. As normal in the U.K. the guest comes a pretty poor second to the requirements of staff, or, as in this case, management.Guest review byanthonyUnited Kingdom
