We really enjoyed our stay! 😊 The bed was large and very comfortable, and the room was spacious and beautifully decorated. The bathroom was excellent as well – it had soap, shampoo, shower gel, both a bathtub and a shower, and there was always hot and cold water. There is a bar nearby with music, but the room was completely quiet – the soundproofing is excellent. We also liked the thick curtains, which make the room completely dark when closed. The room had everything we needed: an iron with ironing board, a hairdryer, a kettle with different teas and coffee. Overall, the room looked very stylish and cozy. We were very satisfied with our stay and definitely recommend this hotel! 🌟

We stay here quite often and always have a good experience, it has a good range of gluten free meals but could have a better selection of breakfast options, it could also do with a mini fridge in the room for longer stays

The location was very good no road noise Breakfast was top notch with all options catered for Rooms were faultless comfortable beds ,warm rooms and great bathrooms ( we stayed in the courtyard accommodation) Ample parking close to rooms A bar at the entrance of the hotel was an ideal meeting place Our function was held in the great barn with its own bar and a side room for the buffet Although the hotel has a spa and pool we didn't use it as there was a lot of catching up with friends to do as we had travelled from all over the country Cornwall Wales and Northumberland

    Friendly staff, easy to access straight off of A57.

    Friendly staff, easy to access straight off of A57. Ask for a fan in hot weather , rooms get very hot. Resteraunt has nice choice and there are bar snacks. Close to sherwood forest, Roche Abbey, rothervally country park and Gullivers kingdom.

    Todwick was an easy stop off the M1 as we were travelling...

    Todwick was an easy stop off the M1 as we were travelling north. Staff were very pleasant and the facilities were extremely comfortable after a long journey. Unfortunately we didn’t have time to discover more of the area.

    I visited Todwick and Sheffield to meet up with old friends from many years ago. They lived in the Todwick area and recommended the pub I stayed in. I didn't therefore visit the area to sight-see.

    Red Lion was clean and tidy, staff were helpful and considerate and happy to help . Parking could be busy , bramble bush beside bin in carpark needs trimming. Otherwise a very pleasant and enjoyable stay.

    There is nothing in Todwick.

    There is nothing in Todwick. You should clearly inform people that the Red Lion is in need of a complete restoration. The hotels response from the reviews, is that the hotel is being refurbished. The hotel is in a very run down condition and has been for a long time, over two years from the reviews. This should be clearly stated on your website !!

    We walked into the village with the dog in the evening and...

    We walked into the village with the dog in the evening and the footpaths were wide and safe. There is a garden centre within walking distance from the hotel. We found a pleasant river /streamside walk on day 2. Nice countryside and hotel is not troubled by noise of the roads. Well in room 11 we weren't. On the second night we ate in the Pub and staff were very accommodating and attentive to food needs. They even gave me some cooked sausages for my dog... Lovely staff even when overstretched and working full on...

    Lovely property convenient to the motorway. It was full of character……a converted farmhouse….with oak beams and traditional decor. Bedrooms were spacious and facilities were great. Staff were also kind and helpful especially Judith on hotel reception.

    The newly renovated rooms and bathrooms are really lovely. We’ve stayed here a number of times and the staff are always friendly. Very quiet and comfortable room. Comfy bed. The whole renovation to the hotel have been done very well.
