The staff were exceptional, so warm and welcoming and we were upgraded for free as it was my birthday. That was such a lovely touch. Hotel was stunning and also views would have been if it were not for the rain and we arrived when it was dark. Hope to stay longer next time to explore properly.

This hotel exceeded our expectations in many ways. The rooms are of a good size, comfortable bed and the shower was great. The staff in particular were what really made our stay; the ladies on reception; Karris and Teresa were so polite, warm and helpful. The staff at breakfast, who were happy and polite and the chefs who accommodated my dietary requirements and provide gluten free bread. Thank you to everyone who made our stay great.

    I didnt see one shop that was part of a well known chain. Fabulous river views and many benches on which to sit when strolling. Parked in central hotel so cannot answer about parking problems . Ate at our hotel or friends home.

    Topsham is a lovely place with plenty of lovely places to eat, we tried the Globe and the following evening had a fabulous meal at the Galley. The Salutation where we stayed has a restaurant but on this occasion we didn't try it

    Well located with excellent accessibility to numerous other venues and a variety of eating options. Had two excellent meals at The Passage and an unexpected fun quiz night.can also recommend Rickfish on Exeter Quay for superb fish.

    Such a lovely little town on the quay.

    Such a lovely little town on the quay. We walked from Darts farm to the RSPB, about 25mins, then on towards Topsham, so nice walking along the sea wall, lots of benches for a rest. Little Tea shop open on Bank Holiday serving takeaway teas, So could sit on quay and enjoy the peace. The number 57 bus drops you into the centre every half hour.

    Very niche but enjoyable.

    Very niche but enjoyable. Great atmosphere and very relaxed... Too understand is to visit. To not visit would be your loss. So much quaintness with exceptional relaxation. Always a must for any open minded person to enjoy a quintessential day or two in fabulous Topsham.

    friday breakfast not the quality i would have expected ,the toast was burnt on one side but placed so it would not be observed the mushrooms were tasteless . saturday breakfast was excellent no complaints at all.

    The room was clean and despite being on main road into Topsham we slept well. The staff were warm and welcoming. The location was great enabling us to walk into Topsham (where there is a station), and the "best in Britain" Dart farm shop next door. We were also able to access bike hire and had a wonderful day cycling Exe Estuary Trail. Topsham itself is delightful and Exeter close by. We fully intend to return. Looking forward to seeing external makeover taking place in the summer!

    This was the most lovely cosy place to stay. The location was perfect and the beds were lovely and comfy. The host could not have been kinder or more helpful and we will definitely book again next time we are in Topsham.
