Tutbury is a really lovely place in very nice countryside.
Tutbury is a really lovely place in very nice countryside. The high street has retained its quite select features, is clean and well cared for. The hotel is central to the street. Not a place for retail therapy but one excellent antique centre in the old Chapel plus a few eateries and take-seats. Lovely little village, quiet but went in March. Castle not open but we had a pleasant walk around the village. There are a few shops for browsing. This house had everything we needed for our weekend stay. Decor and furnishings were immaculate, house was spotlessly clean. TV had really good picture quality and our teenagers were happy with streaming services and WIFI.Breakfast items were a lovely touch. Area was very safe and quiet and parking was secure. We had a great Nepalese meal in the town. Hosts were very helpful. Would love to return and spend some more time exploring the area.
