We stayed at the Greyound their sister pub, as the Alfred Wallace had problems with a leak. We received excellent communication and service and money off our evening meal. Stunning property to relax and unwind, there were special touches such as welsh cakes and your name welcoming you to breakfast. Great staff, friendly and helpful

Staff were friendly and helpful, accommodating an early check in for one of our group and a late arrival for another. Rooms were comfortable and had everything we needed, food in the restaurant was very nice and location was central to all we needed. Would definitely recommend the Castle Inn if you are visiting Usk.

The cottage was spotless and beautifully decorated. The location was gorgeous and close enough to Usk centre. The host was so kind and helpful, it was lovely to chat and they even left an amazing welcome hamper. Beds were really comfy too! The hot tub (heated for our arrival!) and outdoor area were an amazing extra also. We would 100% stay here again, it was a haven!

    Usk is a lovely area to visit, and the town is busy with various activities and places to visit. The museum of rural life was fascinating, and our walk by the river calm and peaceful. We didn't get to the castle, but will go there on our next trip. Eateries all good, especially the Italian!!

    Lovely place but poor parking facilities. Would have seen more but couldn't park Went to the see the castle 🏰 but had to drive up to then find out it was closed for a private function on 23rd August 2025, please put the notice at the entrance so disappointed

    A delightful small town with lovely riverside walks and a really interesting, well-devised Rural Life Museum. Plenty of places to eat delicious food with no need to drive. We were there for a family wedding in the castle grounds which was a stunning venue - highly recommended.

    Spent many a year coming here as my parents retired to Monmouth. Usk is my favourite town. First time staying at the castle. Perfect place with great facilities rooms - food excellent - staff friendly. Would certainly recommend xx

    Fantastic place to stay , views are amazing,very quiet location, host is wonderful,even left a bottle of wine as a gift for my husband’s 50th birthday which was a lovely surprise, place was spotlessly clean , bed very comfortably, absolutely fantastic stay

    Lovely laid back town on rlver which is great for walks. Free parking in center nice places to eat like 3 salmon hotel or Casa Blanca in main street. Brilliant rural crafts and agriculture museum run by lovely volunteers..

    It was a lovely hotel. The staff were very helpful, friendly, happy, We had the breakfast each morning, and 1 evening meal, the food was excellent. The beautiful grounds was a nice bonus, when you have been out all day, to come back and sit in the grounds was a delight. Would have liked some sun loungers just to relax in as our weather was lovely. It was on quite a busy road. Usk town was a 10 minute walk away, with a few shops and quite a few restaurants.Very pretty little town, Usk in Bloom.

    This is an excellent choice for a catch up with friends and family. The living area is spacious. The kitchen and living area are tastefully decorated with loads of space. The garden area is beautiful with high vegetation which ensures privacy too. There is playground close to the house for small children Bedrooms are super comfie. The beautiful sleepy town of Usk is a 15 minute walk away with lovely little pubs, cafes and restaurants.

    Our room was clean and comfortable. The Spa and pool were fabulous, very relaxing and calming and not busy. The restaurant meals in the evening were wonderful, they must have a great chef. The grounds around the hotel are beautiful and well kept and the location is great for exploring that area. Most of all the staff were friendly and helpful.
