Very beautiful picturesque place. Feels it's been maintained with love and care. It has a book of it's history from 1700!!! Wonderful experience. The room size is great, beds are comfortable, bedsheets fresh and clean. The common area has it's character and charm. Staff is super friendly and helpful. I left my raincoat there and they happily delivered it

    The beach has just won an award.

    The beach has just won an award. We had 3 sunny beach days and we loved it! Rock pooling, safe playing in the sea (monitored by lifeguards), loads of sand for digging. Perfect! The staff in the cafe and the beach car park were friendly and brilliant. Car park had loads of space and at £4.50 all day (until 9pm) was excellent value. Easy walk down to beach with all our stuff - and easy to go back to car for picnics etc. Walk from the car park to Sheringham over Beeston Bump was also enjoyed by all our party. We had a meal in the Village Inn (very good) and a take away from the Thai restaurant (also very good). Parking in the village can be challenging.

    A good base to explore North Norfolk.

    A good base to explore North Norfolk. Good local bus services along the coast and to Norwich. There is also a railway station here. The beach is only a 10 minute walk away There's a village shop and a choice of places to eat and drink.

    A lovely village with facilities and shops that suited us.

    A lovely village with facilities and shops that suited us. In particular it is close to its own beach (which itself is famous for its fossils), it was not noisy, and is situated close to the larger towns of Sheringham and Cromer.

    West Runton is a lovely location.

    West Runton is a lovely location. Basic amenities include a pub, village shop and an excellent tea shop. The Links hotel also offers Sunday lunch and swimming pool to non residents for a fee. The beach is sandy and the cliff top walk above lovely, either walking towards Cromer or in the opposite direction to Sherringham. West Runton has a useful British rail connection and a good bus route along the coastal road giving one easy access to Cromer, Sheringham, Blakeney and Wells next the sea.

    A good location for visiting other beaches and National...

    A good location for visiting other beaches and National Trust properties in the area. A good pub with good food (The Village Inn) in West Runton so very convenient. Easy short drives along the coastal road to Cromer (excellent fish and chips in 'No.1' ).

    West Runton is ideal for exploring North Norfolk.

    West Runton is ideal for exploring North Norfolk. Village pub with excellent meals...make sure you book! Lovely tearoom which also offers B n B! Village store and post office and Thai (small) sit in and takeaway. Train station also within walking distance of centre of village. 5 mins walk down to beach. Regular bus route to Cromer and beyond and the other way too ..Sheringham, etc. North Norfolk Steam Railway worth a visit. Sheringham-Weybourne-Holt.
