The balcony overlooks the ancient fortress and the cathedral, in the distance picturesque hills form a fitting backdrop for the stunning Georgian landscape. The host is very friendly and polite, he gave us a brief tour of the town, shared valuable insights into life in Georgia and offered excusions to the environs of Mtskheta. Everything I could have asked for in a lodging and more. Golden Cradle is a special gem unlike anywhere else I’ve stayed in my travels abroad. Aside from the obvious allure of staying in such a unique building it’s extra special for being next to a beautiful lake and having the most hospitable of hosts who really went out of their way to be accommodating and make me feel welcomed like family. I will absolutely be coming back.
