Lovely village but getting very busy. Restaurants were excellent and staff in them very polite and attentive. Akrotiri is a beautiful town. I definitely recommend visiting the Akrotiri archaeological site, but the entrance fee of 20 euros is honestly way too expensive. The place is amazing, with both red and black sand beaches that are truly unique. The food is delicious- we tried several restaurants, and both the service and meals were consistently excellent. Akrotiri Was much quieter than the other side of the island (Oia). The village is small and has the small town feel. I am from a big city in the United States, so Akrotiri was a very different than home. Being Americans, and Black Americans to add, we stood out from the other people we encountered. Akrotiri town is nice.
Akrotiri town is nice. It was quiet, but perhaps we are out of season. We ate at Portobello restaurant. Excellent service and kind waiters. They also speak French. Red Beach was closed due to rock slides. The beach is hard to access, even to observe. Great location to visit the rest of the island. The lighthouse was a close location to view the sunset. Sunsets are a Santorini attraction but are only good on very clear days. If there is a haze, you'll be disappointed.Guest review byJPCanada

The communication is excellent - opting for WhatsApp makes it really easy. We had a late arrival but Vassilis sent us a video so we knew exactly where to go. He arranged our taxi from the airport and then onto the port the following morning. The room was spotless and had everything we needed. The view of Santorini Crescent is stunning and you can eat breakfast on the terrace with the most amazing vista. We had to set out early and were given a picnic breakfast. The apartment‘s building situated in the centre. The design of the object is impressive, modern and Greek. congratulation to the designer! The apartment is extremely well equipped, very comfortable.
