Lovely lady owner. Set in a garden with mountain views. It was so nice to stay in a home. It has two bedrooms, a lounge and formal dining, a great kitchen and nice veranda with mountain views. Plenty of room. Good oil heating and efficient bathroom plus on property parking. All in a village setting. And freshly picked citrus in a bowl. And of course a decanter of raki.

Wonderful warm welcome from the owner Nico, it’s a lovely hotel with amazing views of the sea. We opted for the breakfast which was delicious. Our host was so helpful and kind. It was a wonderful stay.

We got special attentions for our 30 year noneymoon: fruit, wine, room with a view,... again special thanks to the staff. We will have amazing memories to our vacation here (among which the sailing trip with Maria, Alex, Georgio and of course father Anastasius Raki LXIX) The entire village has excellent seafood restaurants

Maria was a wonderful host, and the room had a fantastic view of the sea and beach below. It was a lovely place to sit and listen to the sound of the waves. It felt a world away after the drive down the cliffs to reach the village. There were no ATM's or shops - so come prepared. Maria brought us delicious Loukoumades for breakfast one day.

Thalori village is truly a village within an old village, comprising several old, partly abandoned stone houses, that have been refurbished. The location of Thalori at an altitude of almost 800 meters means that it is never too hot in summer, and it also means that you enjoy a great view over the sea south of Crete, and also of the nearby Kofinas peak of Asterousia mountain. The houses are relatively small, but cozy and nicely decorated. The great advantage of Thalori is the excellent local cuisine, which can be enjoyed both for lunch and for dinner. The surrounding wild and arid landscape certainly is not for everybody's taste, but if you like this kind of landscape, you will be thrilled. The nearest beach is at 30 minutes via a difficult dirt road, and you will need to drive much longer (more than an hour) for an easily accessible beach. If, however, you are not afraid of difficult roads you will be rewarded by fantastic routes towards some fantastic beaches with few people. Finally, the personnel of Thalori is very friendly, helpful and efficient.

This is a family run property, as warm as the brothers and staff is towards your every need from check in all the way to check out, it's still operated very professionally. The room was perfect, everything you may need and it comes with the greatest sea view. Just infront of your room with a good size balcony to enjoy your time off the beach. I could say lot more but simply the following is a total 10/10 Great staff All the local info given if requested and very good tips from a local view.
