Very close to all the beautiful beaches too,, some very nice mountain restaurants and bars nearby as well. We loved our stay, wished we could have stayed a lot more. The host (Evi) was very friendly and helpful. She came to greet us at the port and helped with our luggage and made sure we were settled in the apartment. The apartment is in a lovely, quiet area and has everything you would need. You do however need a car as it at the top of a great big hill. You get some amazing views though! The cleaner (Anna) is fantastic. She comes daily and the apartment was spotless. She was always there in a morning with a great big smile and asked if we needed anything.

Evi is the perfect host! So kind and considerate. Love the decor in the apartment, the Ikea touches and the chilled wine and orange juice! We were only staying for one night as a stopover between Antipaxos and Lefkada. Would love to return and stay for longer. Great mix of guests, we enjoyed chatting to different nationalities in the pool. Evi picked us up from Gaios and took us back to catch our ferry, which was so kind of her and a free service she prides herself in. If you choose to stay here you won't be disappointed.

Evi, the property owner, is the best. Before we arrived in Paxos she contacted us and arranged to meet us on arrival at the port and show us to the villa, totally unexpected. Throughout our stay she could not have been more helpful, anything you needed she was there. The villa itself is in a lovely location. It’s well equipped and exceptionally clean. The pool is great if you want to stay around for a morning or afternoon. On our first day we were shocked to arrive home to find the bed made and the villa tidy, this happened everyday. Such a nice touch. If you are planning to visit Paxos I would have no hesitation in staying with Evi again. Great accommodation on a beautiful island

My family and I (6 of us in total) had such a happy and comfortable stay in this beautiful villa. Located just a 3 minute drive from Gaios and a 5 minute walk from a lovely little beach near Mongonisi where I could go for morning swims, it is tastefully and comfortably appointed, quiet and very pretty. The 5 bedrooms were all comfortable and quiet (except for a local cockerel who tended to crow at night!) with a coffee machine in each room, the kitchen well-equipped, the outdoor seating area at the front was where we tended to eat (rather than the area at the back next to the kitchen). We had a gorgeous, restful and happy 10 days in this lovely villa. I can highly recommend.

Gaios is a charming and intimate little town that truly has...

Gaios is a charming and intimate little town that truly has everything – stunning scenery, turquoise and blue beaches, lush green hills, and plenty of restaurants, cafés, and supermarkets. Everyone can find their own special spot here. Although small, Gaios offers plenty to do both inside and outside the town, making it a perfect base for exploring the whole island. You can go on hiking trips around Paxos, as the island is full of great trails, rent bicycles to explore every corner, or even rent a boat to go sailing by yourself or with a group, depending on your preference. For those staying in apartments, there are supermarkets with everything you need for cooking at home. The trip from Corfu to Paxos by ferry is quick and simple, and once you arrive, you can easily reach Gaios on foot (as we did) or by taxi until 11 PM for about €10. The island is truly dreamy, with kind and welcoming people everywhere. We felt that 4 days and 3 nights were exactly the right amount of time to explore the island, relax, enjoy delicious food, and then move on.

Gaios was a delight.

Gaios was a delight. Very pretty with plenty of tavernas coffee bars etc. However as we made our way through quite a few places we were told many times “ we don’t have “ when trying to order food. It’s not the end of the season you still have tourists! Best trip was with Captain Yannis on Agia Sebastianos boat which was exceptional! Authentic Greek food throughout the day so many swim stops around Paxos and Anti Paxos and for just 55 € great value this was our favourite day I absolutely recommend this to everyone.

Paxos is beautiful.

Paxos is beautiful. We stayed in Gaios as it is the central place for other places on the island. It is small but has everything you need. It is busy with day trippers and those on the many large yachts moored out to sea so the price of clothes in the shops reflect this. But most of the restaurants are very well-priced and all the food is delicious. We didn't have a bad meal during the 5 days we were there. There is a bus to the other towns of Lakka and Loggos, both which have delicious food and access to beaches, which may be pebbly, but the sea is luxurious. A 15 minute boat ride to Anti-Paxos gives a fantastic trip to 2 sandy beaches, light blue sea and places to have lunch. I'd recommend this island for a holiday and Gaios as a base.

Variety of restaurants and bars lovely seafront bars to have a drink or ice cream watching the boats come in and out. It gets very busy from around 11-3 when the boat trips come in and the beaches are very small. My tip would to venture a bit further out to find more peaceful and not crowded beaches. Mongonisi beach is about an hours walk along the coast it has a sandy beach safe for children with a very nice beach bar/restaurant sunbeds are 5 euros and the beach does not get too crowded

The house was in a great location very close to town but also away from all the night life. Gaios had many restaurants and bars and the food is excellent especially a restaurant called Melissi. It has a supermarket, many shops and also a great bakery. Gaios is a great location, the furthest we had to travel to other villages and beaches in the car, was 20mins. If we went to Paxos again I would stay in the same area!

We spent a lovely 6 days here and it was a great base for exploring Paxos. Just a short stroll into Gaios which has plenty of good restaurants and other facilities including regular ferries to Antipaxos. Aphrodite and Vassiliki were so helpful and considerate, bringing us delicious breakfasts at a time of our choice and looking after our apartment to a high standard. We were able to walk to a range of beaches with great snorkelling and other places of interest. There is a regular bus service to Lakka in the north.

We had a lovely week at villa sofia for a friends wedding in paxos. The property was very clean and had everything amenity you could think of. Sophia (host) was great and easily contactable. We used the padel boards daily at the private(ish) beach just 50 yards from the villa. Highly recommend a stay here if you’re in paxos.

Location. Literally seconds from Gaios centre. Everything you need as a base. Great air con, Wifi, cooking and cleaning facilities and cosy as a studio. For the island hopper and thoughtful traveller it’s great value. Visit Spiros Taverna on Anti Paxos for the best fish you’ll ever eat.

Apartment was beautifully furnished and very well equipped. Good location on the edge of Gaios, next to a small beach and lots of restaurants. The hosts were friendly and helpful (lent us beach towels and a parasol for our trip to Antipaxos).
