Mykonos Island is overpriced, over crowded and difficult to navigate. We only stayed overnight - thank goodness. We spent 6 nights on Naxos Island - which is BEAUTIFUL. Sandy beaches, peaceful, amazing food and quaint villages. We stopped over for one night at White Rock hotel in Mykonos...
We stopped over for one night at White Rock hotel in Mykonos, on our way to Syros, a matter-of-fact booking which turned out to be a human experience. Our smiling hosts spared no effort to accommodate us in a spotless, comfortable room overlooking the sea. And even the few steps leading to it turned out to be no problem (fot my 89 years) thanks to the discretely but generous help of Elias. Absolutely beautiful!
Absolutely beautiful! I like staying away from the main busy city yet still close enough to only be a 5 minute drive away. The people and food were wonderful. If you are a nervous driver, I do not recommend driving as the roads are very narrow with blind corners.Guest review byMarcGermany - 10.0

People are very kind, it is easy to walk around the area, they have good food, they have a market, you can pack ... In short, they have everything you need for a vacation and you don't waste much time on the road. It is easy to get to the city center by boat and is cheap boiled.
