Kampos is a nice area full of older mansions, many restored for use as bed and breakfast. The mansions typically have high walls, and extensive gardens inside the courtyards, full of trees and flowers. It is generally a quiet area, very quaint, and close to major roads leading south, north, and west, not far from the capital city and the airport. We ate at a variety of establishments, both in the nearby village and on the coast. All had fresh seafood and local dishes and the prices were very reasonable. The owners, Susanne and Dmitri, were incredibly kind and made us feel right at home. Dimitris prepares delicious breakfast treats—his loukoumades are simply fantastic! We had a truly wonderful stay at the hotel. We also got to know beautiful Rose, the gorgeous resident cat, and enjoyed relaxing summer days in the lovely garden. We liked the house very much too. We stayed in the three beds family room. It was big and comfy. The location is also good but you need to rent a car to move arpınd Chios, it’s a big island. There is nowhere you can reach walking, unless you stay in the center.
