The rooms were exceptional, very spacious. We stayed here to play golf and it was a good course. We enjoyed the restaurant, pool and gym. You do need a car to get to see other things aside from golf.

The hotel re-opened at the beginning of July 2024. The modern look and feel is excellent, the pool and private beach have the best loungers ever, there's pool service with national and international drinks! The location is quiet and connected with a beach road. It's only 4-5K from Chersonissos. I enjoyed one of the best sunsets ever. What I really appreciated was the quality of the food; 5 restaurants with a la carte dinner at a very high standard; the fish was fresh and very tasty combined with healthy legumes, the meat restaurant offered a wide range of steaks (Tommahawk, filet pure,...), every restaurant has a wine list,... and all of this is included in the all inclusive package. The bar offers a wide variety of national and international drinks (not 1 kind of whisky but a choice of Irish, Scottish brands,... my favorite Grappa Nonino, cognacs, ...). I travel frequently but this kind of quality and choice is very rare, especially when drinks and food are all inclusive! I want to conclude with their sustainability vision; one of their strategies is to hire only local people which I endorse; although some of them sometimes need an extra minute to understand our (non-native) English or German, they bring joy with their smiles and friendliness; especially Barbara and Afrodite, you are the top of the top!

The best hotel, clean and quiet, the breakfast is excellent and the staff are very wonderful and helped me a lot. I thank them very much and I advise everyone to stay in this hotel. There was a discount for the restaurant and the staff were great and the food was excellent.

    As it’s built into the mountains, reasonable mobility is desirable, however it is disable friendly and the taxis are cheap, On site there are lots of steps and inclines to the facilities, as well as lifts, but I’m sure a persons needs could be accommodated to all the pools and restaurants. I’m 71 and managed to walk into town/star beach ok, enjoyed the exercise tbh! Overall the hotel is brilliant for families with children of all ages. I would go back for sure! The town is superb, so much choice for eating/drinking out, shopping good, usual touristy stuff! People are friendly and very helpful.

    Very nice Old Hersonissos. Many good restaurants and bars. Who likes more "turistic" area the new part of Hersonissos on the coast with lots of bars, restaurants, clubs and shopping street is very close.

    The town has a lot to offer great food, bars, clubs.

    The town has a lot to offer great food, bars, clubs. At night the town comes alive with lots to do and see. The cost of taxi rides are all the same and we stayed just outside at the Arminda hotel and spa (which was amazingly good). It's a great location to explore the island as the main road is a couple of miles away and this connects the island East to West. It was such a lovely place that I will probably go back sometime in the future.

    Amazing Resort and extensive facilities on site. Staff are amazing. Also one of the best mani/pedi I ever had at the salon. Resort is about 30 minutes from airport, and would say for a 5* Europe resort, this lives up to expectation, but don't compare to a 5* Caribbean or Mexico Resort, so bear that in mind. We stayed at the Ocean view room which had spectacular views. The Rocky beach was just fantastic with the lounges and beds, and considering how busy this resort is, never noticed it and never felt overcrowded, and you never had to reserve benches or lounges by the beach or pool, there was more than enough to go round and even more spare. A la Carte restaurants that were amazing and my favourites are Umi (Sushi), Azzuro (Italian), Thalassa for breakfast & lunch, Poseidon. A real let down of the restaurants was Nami, only delicious items were the Starters. Staff at this resort were fantastic overall, but special thanks to the following: Anastasi, Konstantina, Angelina, Ritsa and Lucas.

    Hersonissos is lively to many restaurants and bars. Having a car is an advantage as the best beaches and many restaurants recommended to us were not within walking distance. Best nearby restaurants were Areston and Avli. Skipper is reaonable on the restaurant strip. A bus service is available but we did not use it. Lots to do in Heraklion which can be reached by bus or car. We went to Agios Nikolaos and to Elounda. Good walks in both directions from the flat

    The location is PERFECT. The views are amazing. Worth 5 stars. Definetely recomend. The beach is very close. The place is at the port (marine). If you want to go to Crete, you HAVE to choose Aqua Vero. It's better than in the pictures. The host was great, very welcomy. He was always ready to help. There's everything you might need. I loved the local shampoo. The car parking is also very close. There's also protection from the moskitos at every window and doors. We visited in the begining of may.

    I usually don't give a 10 out of 10 but this was absolutely perfect! The property, interior design, the sea view, the location and the hospitality of the host. Great communication up-front and during our stay. The property is big, clean and absolutely stunning. The pictures are already extremely beautiful and real-life I couldn't believe it exactly the same. It was great to come every day doing activities to such a nice, relaxing place. Definitely coming back when I travel to Crete again.

    We had a fantastic time at Creta Maris Resort! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, the food was delicious, and the facilities were excellent. We especially loved relaxing by the pool or by the sea, then enjoying the beautiful sea views from the outdoor bars and terraces at sunset.
