    Beautiful place, restaurants around the harbour and up the lovely little side streets. All the ones we tried were very good but Nionios was our favourite, the little touch of taking us into the kitchen to show what was on offer took me back 30 years, when I was last here. Really nice little bar on the front playing fabulous music. Walks around the area, to a couple of popular beaches and more remote ones. Would highly recommend it to anyone.

    A beautiful, clean village full of nice restaurants, but without any crazy nightclubs or tacky souvenirs. Paxos island is perfect for exploring beaches – it’s not overly touristy, and renting a boat to sail around the island

    I recommend Lakka instead of Gaios, Much better access for the beach, Harami is the best restaurant, but unfortunately only for lunch. Worth rent a chair near the restaurant, amazing food great staff. If you come once to Lakka you will get addicted.

    Delightful atmosphere. Good variety of places to eat. Very friendly shops, tavernas and accommodation. Getting there from Giaos on arrival with your luggage requires pre-booking a taxi as there's a shortage. You can't wheel your cases along most of the roads on Paxos - they're too rough so you'll need to be dropped off as close as possible to your accommodation. Lakka's beaches are lovely, with sand in the shallows so you can stand up comfortably. Avoid them across the middle of the day when the excursions boats are in as they get busy, but from 2pm they're quiet again.

    Lakka is a small fishing village with a touristy front line filled with tavernas and caffes. The people are very friendly and helpful, the food is homey and delicious, and there's a peaceful quality to the place. Everything is within walking distance, and if you need to go to Gaios, you can take the local bus. There are a few small pebbely beaches with quite beautiful waters, and a lot of boats. If you see sunbeds - they're probably for a cost of 8-10 euros for 2, be aware. You can hire a boat (in advance) and travel to different beaches along the coast of the island. If you want to calm down and unwind, Lakka is a great place for you. I fell in love with the peaceful quiteness of this village when visiting on a day trip a few years ago, and had to come back =)

    Perfect location- 2 min walk from apartment is Lakka port with beautiful tavernas. 5 mins walk to beach. Spacious enough for a family of 5. Two toilets. Clean. Good size balcony. All the kitchen equipment that you need. Someone came in to change the beds and towels in the week . Good Wi-Fi and great air con. We arrived and there were bottles of wine and water in the fridge for us. The owner replied quickly and was very helpful.

    Loved Lakka and the Llios Hotel. Paradise. Such a beautiful village.. so peaceful and such a fantastic view of the port from our balcony .. it's right in the centre of the village and everyone is so friendly and helpful. If you go to Paxos hotel Llios is a fantastic hotel to stay at, so clean and a fantastic buffet breakfast.

    Good communication with the hosts. They arranged a taxi to meet me at the ferry and took me for a walk around Lakka when I arrived. The apartment is in the centre of the village and a short walk to the beach. Great bathroom with excellent facilities. Spacious apartment, a real gem and good value for Paxos.
