We loved everything about Hotel Castillio. The staff are all so friendly and will go out of their way to help you. The rooms are cleaned daily and towels and bath robes and bedding are changed almost everyday.The location is on the entrance to Maltezena so travelling by Astibus is very easy. We had the room with the jacuzzi/pool and it didn't disappoint. All the local Tavernas are within walking distance and the food was very good in all. If you like cats you are in for a treat.

Super Host and hospitality. The Best Place i ve stayed so far. Breakfast, close to castle, close to old town, 20 min beach walking distance. Got picked up at port and she drove me back at 5:30 am. Speaks very good english, ... Could pay with card and she brought self baked stuff. Better than any Hotel or any place i ve stayed so far in Greece. Price top. Amazing place to stay in Astypalea with an incredible view. Our stay was extraordinary perfect. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed by the extremely nice host and staff. They helped us to assist with any request we had an made us feel like a valued guest, adding an extra layer of comfort to our stay. Big plus the breakfast every morning which is homemade! Next to the port and super close to Chora. Free pick up and drop off from the airport. We will definitely come back !!

Great location in walking distance from the port and Chora. We enjoyed the amazing view to the castle from the veranda-it is exactly as shown in the photos. Brand new, clean and spacious. Also the parking space was very convenient. The host was very polite and the overall service very professional. We will definitely stay in Ydria if we visit Astypalaia again.
