If you're looking for peaceful traditional village life, this is the best place to stay in Crete! Small is beautiful! The village is in a stunning location with views across the White Mountains and over Souda Bay, while also being very accessible from the airport and ferry port via the national road. The local tavernas and shop are excellent. The Roman ruins at Aptera are well worth a visit and only a short walk or drive from the village.Guest review byDianaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

A great village. Tavernas within walking distance. A real authentic Greek village with a friendly atmosphere. Very near local beaches and very near the beautiful town of Chania. The ancient site of Aptera a few minutes walk. Lots of walking tracks for the novice and more experienced Walker. A huge variety of plants and flowers especially in the Spring for the botanists amongst you. A great environment for a healthy stay. Loved it.Guest review bySusan
