Staff very friendly and helpful. Supplied a kettle as soon as I requested it. Excellent central location. Large room with nice balcony overlooking church and square.     The Archaeological site of Mycenae was on our "bucket list".

    The Archaeological site of Mycenae was on our "bucket list". Impressive site in a stunning hilly backdrop. Easy parking. Stones are slippery so wear correct footwear. Not for very elderly or disabled people as the site is on a hill. Best place to eat is La Petite Planete just up the road from the site.

    Very handy for Mycenae acropolis plus within easy reach of...

    Very handy for Mycenae acropolis plus within easy reach of many other ancient sites - Nemea, the Argive Heraion, Dendra cemetery, Tiryns, Argos town, Midea, etc. Lots of advice on ancient sites and opening times. We also got specialist advice on walks from the hotel to outstanding rock-cut and Tholos tombs nearby that the package crowd don't see. Dinner at the hotel (not Sunday), plus there are 4 or 5 tavernas in the village (which is quiet after the coaches leave for the day).
