The host is super, we brought our dog with us and she actually left him treats and toys. What a lovely lady, nothing too much trouble. The accommodation is well equipped and clean, the beds very comfortable. Parking is not possible outside the house but it’s only a short walk from the street next door so no problem. You can walk across the road to the sea.

We've been spending our summers in Greece for 20 years, but we've never met a host like Mrs. Despina. She and her daughter are truly wonderful and always at our service. The apartment had everything we needed. Impeccably clean. The air conditioning works perfectly. The bed is comfortable. The apartment is very spacious. Just a few steps away, there's a shaded parking spot if you’ve come by car. Nearby, you’ll find a grocery store, bakery, restaurants, pharmacy, and fish market. We enjoyed our morning coffee in Mrs. Despina’s garden, which is full of beautiful flowers. Mrs. Despina treated us to pastries and pretzels even though we hadn’t paid for breakfast. When we were leaving, we even received a gift 💙 a truly wonderful experience!

    Nea Kios is an ideal starting point for visiting many places...

    Nea Kios is an ideal starting point for visiting many places in Argolis. It is central to the argolic gulf, so one can make visits "radially" in all directions. All the Mycenaean sites are in the range of 20km or less, Epidavros is only 33 km. It's a small town, so no night life, but Nafplio is really near (10min away by car) and packed with it - it's very touristic. For the sea, I would recommend to go to Myloi (5km) or better still to to Tolo-Asini (17.5 km of easy road). In the middle of the gulf water is clean but really shallow and a bit muddy. In Nea Kios, I went to a good grill house/pizzeria ("Greco") on the square where the apartments are. Also, I went to a very good tavern in Skafidaki ("Kalh Kardia") and one in Kefalari, with delicious local food. It's next to a Revoil gas station, I don't remember the name. Note: for the archaeological sites, mind the opening days and hours - most close at 15.30, and generally are closed on Tuesdays.

    The place is the closest to Nafplio and since it is not...

    The place is the closest to Nafplio and since it is not overly tourist oriented, the accommodation prices are much more affordable. The city beach is not very visited, but that's why Karatonas beach, which is located near Nafplio, is beautiful and highly recommended.
