Maria was amazing!! She brought us cake when we arrived even though it was early hours of the morning, she gave us suggestions for places to eat, she even organised our taxi to the airport. Marias apartments were clean and had everything we needed, with Maria just a message away if we needed anything. Maria was also kind enough to let us stay at the apartment on our last day until our taxi arrived to take us to the airport, even though we had a late flight. Thank you Maria, from all of us for an amazing stay in Crete xx

As soon as you enter, you are greeted by what permeates the hotel, friendliness and quality. The staff are consistently very professional and friendly. Clean and tidy and with a small but very nice pool area. The breakfast room on the fifth floor is probably one of the most beautiful ones with a view worth a visit just for that. The breakfast is also well cooked and the elderly woman who runs it gives clear instructions on, among other things, the cakes she baked herself. It is about 20 min walk down to the beach, a bit hilly but it is an advantage after a good dinner in the evening.

Very clean, new, nice design and functional. Good location in town,few minutes walk to center. Had a nespresso coffe machine which we really appreciate. Parking on the streets, but found spots everytime.

Luxury indeed! We booked an Executive Suite Sea Front with Private Pool and it was everything we hoped it would be! Room extremely clean and comfortable, the pool just next to some grass and then the beach. Perfect! The staff was also fantastic. Very helpful from the start to finish, every each one of them make you feel welcome and special by being helpful without bothering you. They were accommodating and eager, always appreciated in a 5 star hotel. You can feel the hotel is new, everything works and isn't worn out. The main pool seem nce and fun enough, even if we didn't use it. The main restaurant (included in the Half-Pension rate) is pretty good. No fine gourmet but frankly, I prefer a diverse and fresh buffet for breakfast and dinner than fine dining. There are 2 other à la carte restaurant that also organize special nights, but we didn't try them. The beach is a mix of sand and pebbles (you'll need swimming shoes to go in comfortably) and extends very far. So even if the hotel doesn't organize anything special, you can easily find activities to do a bit further. Be aware that there can be a lot of wind and currents : swimming was forbidden for 3 days for us. All in all a fantastic stay at a beautiful hotel, would recommend without hesitation!

    Pigi is a lovely little village outside of Rethimno, it...

    Pigi is a lovely little village outside of Rethimno, it might be too quiet for some. Can easily get the bus from top of village for €2 each way or a taxi will cost you €20. Highly recommend hiring a car so you can see places like Lake Kournas or Bali . We ate in all 3 restaurants in Pigi , and also Paprika about 10 mins walk. The food is Cretan and very reasonable.
