Exactly what we expected. We needed something fairly close to the ferry port, didn't want to spend a lot of money, and this fit the bill. Communication with host was via email, and the transaction was smooth and simple. The unit was clean and fresh, with all the basic amenities needed for a night. This was in a small village that has a couple taverns in the platia as well as a little market near by, all a short walk from the room. The drive to the port is about 15 mins at 7:00 a.m.

The staff are exceptional - friendly, accommodating and very helpful. Every single staff member is a gem. The decor is very elegant. A beautiful mix of classical (with a very special outdoor corner) and modern elements, and every necessity you could wish for. The location is superb.     Convenient location - near the highway, but quiet, natural nature. It is possible to visit Knossos Palace and the surrounding towns, where you will find excellent taverns. It is easy to get to the beaches by highway. Close to the airport - about 15 minutes. Eleni is very helpful and kind, she advises on visiting objects. Many thanks to her for her services.
