Nice beaches, nice vibes, beautiful buildings/architecture, nice strolls and walks, several cultural and historic references, nice restaurants, friendly people, perfect for a short getaway from Athens. Transportation is tricky though, the only working option is a scooter that needs to be booked much in advance. The lovely authentic town but mainly the lovely authentic people made Spetses special. Take a horse and carriage ride, visit Marina beach (paradise beach) eat ice cream, swim and swim some more! Spetses is a very relaxed island with a picturesque port and lots of nice restaurants and cafes. The beaches are good however unless you have transport there it can be difficult to get to beaches as there is an erratic single private bus service. Beautiful hotel, tucked away outside of the main town. Room very comfortable with everything you will need during your stay. The whole property is exceptionally maintained with a lovely pool and garden area. A lovely touch of ice tea and homemade cakes available at reception, which were gratefully devoured after a day out on the bikes. The staff are kind and friendly, and the room (studio) was quite big. We had a lovely terrace overlooking the pool and the pool could be used post check out. The hotel is also about a 15’ walk from the city center and roughly 15’ to two different beaches. There is a beautiful walkway along the sea from the old port to the new port close by the hotel. The room looked recently renovated and it was spacious and comfortable. It was on the front of the property and those rooms may not have a view. There is a good pool to chill and breakfast is served by the pool, under the olive trees. The very popular Agia Marina beach is a 5 minute walk and it only takes 15 mins to walk to the port (less to the old port). Great property.
