Great place. Comfortable, clean, well-equipped, and lots of hot water. Kitchen met our needs and the supplies in the refrigerator were more than welcome. A bit far from the town "centre" with a steep climb to get from there to the apartment. We had a car so no problem Katarina was a friendly host who spent time chating to us about the area. We will definitely return

Beautiful place, with a fantastic view of Vathi. Our host was extremely helpful and friendly. I would certainly recommend this place to those staying on Ithaki, as it's by far the biggest town with the most restaurants, etc. If I ever find my self on the island again, this will be my go to hotel.

I always try to give a balanced review and therefore I will start off with the caveat that in order to take advantage of this wonderful property you do need to be fit and able to walk up very steep steps and a multitude of them in the heat carrying your case. However if you can then you are in for a treat. The stone house stands in its grounds looking out over the hills of Ithaca. It has a lovely outside terrace on which to take meals or drinks while listening to the sounds of nature, bliss. I would just say that a couple of loungers out there would make the experience even more special. The interior of the property has been sensitively renovated to a great standard, ensuring that the traditional is blended with the modern. All conveniences there, washing machine, dishwasher, cooker, microwave, fridge freezer, coffee machine and every other kitchen gadget to ensure that siting at the dining table with dinner is easy. The lounge area has a corner suite which is modern and comfortable and if you need your fix of TV this is there for you as well. The air con in every room is new and will get the room cold in under five minutes The two bedrooms are well equipped also and the wardrobe space is ample. The bathroom is big enough and has a fabulous modern shower with ample hot water. You are not far from the middle of Vathy where you will find all the tavernas and restaurants around the welcoming port. I can only say that I would fully recommend this accommodation to the discerning traveller. We loved it.

    We really loved our trip to Ithaca. Such a pretty Island. Only tiny but you need a car to visit everywhere. Kioni was really beautiful with nice restaurants. More to chose from in Vathi and if you like walking you can walk to two beaches from there .

    Gorgeous little town, with just incredible views. We were there in October, ans despite two days of dull, slightly rainy weather, we found it very charming. Lots of little shops to explore - though some were very expensive, to be honest. We had some great food here - the small restaurant on the seafront, La Familia - was our highlight. Really delicious traditional food. So good I'm going to have to try some of the recipes at home. The boat tours had finished for the winter, but it was still possible to hire a boat, or even a boat with a skipper. Vathi is easy to walk around, it's small and compact, and feels very friendly. I can't say that it would be wheelchair friendly, as a lot of the footpaths have cafe tables and chairs etc.

    Vathy is a lovely town.

    Vathy is a lovely town. Very large yachting contingent so a little bit more expensive than other places but not by much. Some amazing restaurants - Mills, Soddis and Batis were all favourites along the waterfront.

    Vathi (or Vathy) is beautiful.

    Vathi (or Vathy) is beautiful. Quiet during the day and a little more lively at night as it is an overnight stop for the various yachts (both big and small). The restaurants around the pretty harbour front are good, but venture into the small town and you'll find a fabulous selection. Our favourite was Poseidon.

    Friendly town. Nice restuarants and shopping. Shops stay open until late during the tourist season. Very "walkable". Had a great seafood dinner at Batis on the waterfront. The pastitsio at La Familia is the best I have had.

    I have travelled to Vathi and the rest of Ithaki quite a few times. I adore it. Its compact size belies its facilities and sights. Great restaurants too many good ones to single out, lovely beaches, fabulous village living. Wonderful, friendly, hospitable people. You can't go wrong.

    Amazing stunning view from the balcony, just in front of the sea 😊. We loved sitting on the balcony. Large apartment with modern kitchen and furniture. Very clean. Just a short walk from the center of Vathi. The girl in the reception was lovely and gave us very good tips for the island.

    The view overlooking Vathi from the terrace is beautiful. The hike from the the centre is not for the faint hearted but for us it was a good after dinner work out. If you have a car it’s of course no issue at all. There is good parking at the property.
