Our host Dimitra was absolutely amazing, very thoughtful and accomodating. She greeted us up on our arrival with everything ready for the next morning breakfast and pastries and a local bottle of wine:). The house was very clean, equipped with everything we needed and Dimitra offered to clean the house half way through our stay. She even gave us some Cretan souvenirs, very kind and thoughtful. Dimitra has been by far one of the best hosts we have encountered during our travels. The house was close to the town centre, 5 minutes drive, yet remote enough to enjoy the most needed piece and quiet. If you don't have a car, there is a local 'train' within 3 minutes walk from the house, that can take you all around Bali village. The property is a good fit for a family, two adults and two children. Having a little terrace where you can have your coffee in the morning or a glass of wine or a cold drink and local fruits after a very busy and hot day was a real plus. We had an amazing stay at Casa Marel and we would to stay there again in the future :)

Beautiful aparments, beautiful location, only a minute walk from the beach and supermarket. Nice and cozy restaurant right next. Apartment was very clean and comfortable with an amazing view. Pool was great with lots of sunbeds and it also has a view. The host is very kind and is willing to help with whatever you need.

I am impressed by the kindness and the professionalism of the staff! Friendly and warm environment with happy staff! Unique location! The cleanliness in the common areas and in the room is excellent! The welcome from the kind Manager of the hotel, Mrs Georgia made us feel at home. Keep up the good job guys.     Quiet rural village with mountain views, but only about a mile from the sea at Bali, where there were also shops and restaurants. Easy to join the main coast road to Rethymno or Heraklion. Also well worth driving to the south coast - Plakias and lovely Souda Bay for swimming.
