The rental is great and lacks nothing. The housse is quiet in the village. Vivi is a very good person, and does not lacks a sensé of humor. The meals are full of delicious Flavours. The restaurant is the Vegera.

The hosts, Mr. Manolis and Mrs. Despoina is an excellent couple, 10 OUT OF 10. They were both hospitable, friendly, they treated us with fresh fruits upon our arrival. They also had a few kids toys for our babies. Everything was excellent, beyond our expectations.

Exceptional accommodation! Lovely and kind owners that go above and beyond to make your stay even more comfortable! We enjoyed our time in the beautiful garden, the house has everything you might need! I literally mean everything! The owners also provided loads of food on arrival, honey, masticha, raki, bread, eggs, etc. Which was great addition and it was very nice of them!

Besides the warm hospitality of Stella and the neighbors, who, seeing that we were traveling with a child, did not stop giving us all kinds of attention and care, we loved the rural atmosphere of the town and how impeccabile and well-kept the house was. we liked everything; comfortable beds, great stay;very quiet location but still close enough to heaches and Knossos and Heraklion ( car an absolute must). we arrived very late at the property and we were met by a lovely host who made us feel very welcome! even though it was the middle of the night. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the house; it’s very quiet and well equipped. everything you need for a relaxing stay. if you love being away from the crowd this is an absolute treat!

    The village is peaceful, full of charm, and perfectly located for exploring Crete. It has everything you need within walking distance — a grocery store, bakery, crepe shop, and several places to eat. The people here are incredibly welcoming, and we experienced true Greek hospitality and kindness. It’s a place with character, where you can relax and enjoy local life, yet still be within easy driving distance of all the island’s main attractions.

    I loved the serenity. It was a perfect escape from the City.

    I loved the serenity. It was a perfect escape from the City. A night without the usual mod cons is quite OK. The trout from the local restaurants was perfect for dinner. I would suggest avoiding the heat of Summer.

    Very peaceful location. Authentic unspoilt village. It was like stepping back in time. No touristy stuff at all..not even a souvenir shop as far as I could see.Surroundings are incredible. I was a solo traveller and felt very much at home there.. It'd a big draw for walkers..I just wanted to chill and enjoy the views .

    Zaros is a village in the mountains ,it has the famouse lake of Zaros and the spring and the famous water of Zaros. It has traditional food and helpful lokal people. You can visit in the summer as well in the winter.

    This came a bit randomly in our trip and we’re glad it did. We loved Zaros for both the warmth of its people and the beauty of its decor. Our hike in Rouvas was great and every encounter was like it was family members. One of the highlights of our trip to Creta. If you like getting closer to people and their culture it’s a must on your list. If you’re into more attractions or shopping this one is not for you.

    A very nice area of olive groves and brush from 500 m up where you can go hiking right from the hotel (Agios Ethimnios, Rouvas Gorge) or from Lake Votomos. You can also visit monasteries (in particular Vrontisi monastery). Plenty of good and very affordable tavernas around.

    Like every time we stayed there at IDI Hotel we had a great time. The room for three is very pleasant and comfortable. The managing couple, the breakfast, the restaurant close by, trekking in the surroundings, everything exceptional.
