La Isla Dulce is the best accommodation we've ever stayed at. It lacked nothing! Everything was built with such attention to detail. The food was delicious (very good quality!!), our room was a dream and the couple Darja & Douglas and the other staff were as warm and helpful as you rarely see. We had the best shower here and everything was clean and comfortable. Our stay was the perfect end to an incredibly wonderful trip. We would have loved to stay longer, as it felt like a spa retreat. Thank you for everything!

It was a little hot and a bit buggy in the shared dormitory but that’s pretty typical across backpacker spots this time of year (March) I think

The best reason for staying here is the manager, Giovanni. He is a bilingual jewel. Great with arranging trips up the Rio Dulce but even more describing the history of the area.

This is truly a little slice of paradise. It's tiny, only a few cabins and when we were there we were the only guests for most of the time. The property and cabins are clean and well maintained. They offer a la carte dinners and activities at very good prices. Marta and family are truly delightful to be around and go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and welcome. I really hope we get the chance to come back and visit again.

The place has a privileged location, it is near the captaincy pier, Quehueche beach, walking you can get everywhere, the attention was incredible, Kriss the host is exceptional, he is the soul of the place and together with his wife Haidy, they made it Our stay was comfortable, pleasant, fun and we felt like family. They cared about everything, even ensuring that my husband, who fell ill on the trip, ate healthy and had adequate medication. I recommend NIRVANA RESORT as a destination for your next vacation. Postscript: I leave it in English so that Kriss can know how delighted we are and that he doesn't need anything else to improve other than maintaining that positive energy to serve all of his clients.

This has been my favourite stay in Guatemala. The space is extremely conducive to relaxation and gentle socialising. The wifi doesn't really work, but I think that's what makes this place special (if you really need wifi you can ask or kayak to a nearby restaurant - which also has great cerviche). Lots of time spent doing yoga, swimming, sitting in hammocks, playing cards and eating as a family. The staff are incredible (thanks Tim) and the vegetarian food served is amazing with large portions. Definitely recommend getting the massage too. I can't wait to come back
