What a lovely place!
What a lovely place! Sitting on the promenade by the water and watching the boats go in and out was a holiday all on its own. Excellent places to eat and friendly staff at them. The Shell Museum was fascinating. The lady in charge told us about it and it is clear that she is a heroine who has devoted all her time to making sure it will succeed. I hope she gets a lot of support from local councillors and businesses. Saint Nicolas Church was beautiful and the four paintings around the altar were obviously by a highly-skilled painter. I wished there had been postcards of them to send to my family! The Racic Mausoleum was amazing and gave a beautiful view of the town. The only problem for some people would be the gradients: it is fun for young fit people to climb 50+ stairs to their destination, but not for us old people.Guest review byHilaryUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Liked the laid back, relaxed feel of Cavtat - quite different from usual Spanish resorts. Good selection of restaurants and bars, would say it’s more suited for 30+ but there were lots of families there too. A mix of nationalities. Dubrovnik about 50 mins each way by boat. It’s a very classy small town with stunning bays, impressive private boats visiting, plenty of water-sport activities and countless little boats taking people to islands and to/from Dubrovnik. Also plenty of restaurant and bar options. Water was a lovely temperature to swim in (Sept). It is so close to the airport, which is very convenient. We weren’t planning to hire a car but ended up doing so because it was necessary to get to a decent/large supermarket (Lidl). We found the small supermarkets in Cavtat were unsuitable if you’re self-catering (limited choice and pricey). The car meant we could explore more too. We would highly recommend a trip to Molunat. It was stunning, quiet, and take your swimming stuff. Also, Mlini and Sebreno were also beautiful.Guest review byKennyUnited Kingdom

The apartment is small, but is well equipped. Cavtat is just beautiful and if you want to go exploring for beaches with less tourists try north of Cavtat centre.. We recommend Apartments Milanovic. Niksa looked after us like we never expected. Everyone who would like to meet the friendliest landlord in Croatia should stay here. Thank you for hosting us, Niksa. You are a beautiful human being. Ana and her team we so helpful and friendly, and gave such a good service . Breakfast offered so much choice, and if there was something you wanted and it was not out it was cooked for you. The rooms were modern, comfortable and very clean. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel, the location is excellent and only a short stroll into to town. There are deck chairs on little private rock areas with a small bar, and access to the beautiful sea. There's also a lovely beach side fish restaurant where the food is good and scenes are stunning.
